If your friend is playing what he got out of tooth and claw and you're playing against him, the minigun would be better. If you're thinking "I will eventually build up to larger games of 40k" then the plasma cannon is probably a better "for the future" build option, because it can fight heavier things like tanks.
Just finished building one of these for my Blood Angels. Super simple to magnetize. You won't regret it.

Casual At All Costs.
Supposedly an opposite to the ultra-competitive Win-At-All-Costs player.

I don't remember any two-handed hammers in any Space Wolf or Primaris kit, only axes. Could you post a pic?
In the codex there is only one weapon that looks like a hammer: the Thunder Hammer

I will be able to take a picture tomorrow. I don't paint at home. They came in my spacewolves drop pod box I got at my local store.

Edit
Nvm they came with my "start playing pack" of spacewolves. I still still have that at home.

They are both standard Thunder Hammers and one-handed. In this edition it doesn't really make a difference if a weapon is wielded in 1 or 2 hands. In prior editions you could get an extra attack if you had 2 melee weapons but not anymore

Turns out he kept the Dreadnought for himself. But really it matters not to me. I didn't want it I am building a fast swarm army. Having a slow melee tank would slow me down. If and when I can afford some long range heavy artillery for fire support. That's when I will worry about protecting it.
