I think mode (most common) height would be more useful than mean height average.

I'm 5'9" so I always get a kick out of the whole 'average guy' thing.

I considered myself 5'9 until the age of 24, when I found out i was 5'11. I now vary between 5'9 and 5'11 all the time now for some reason.

I will forever remain humble because I know I could have less.
I will always be grateful because I remember I've had less.

Could be the the time of day. Your spine decompresses during sleep, thus you are actually taller in the morning than later in the day (by up to a couple of inches).

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I don't like the idea of the emperor being massive. I think him being smaller would actually be better in the lore. Not tiny but more like an above average human, with his intellect, ability and psychic might being what makes him the master of mankind.

If you follow the original background on his origin, he is a 'normal' human, with a gestalt of thousands of hominid shamans combined into a single soul within him.

I imagine, just as daemons can't keep their vessel intact forever, the emperor's body must be continually charged by his psychic might to stop it disintegrating.

Therefore, IMO, he is a normal human in physical size (the silent sisters think so too according to the books), who can use biomancy to HULK OUT and smash when he wants to.

Statwise he'd be something like

M6" WS2+ BS2+ S3 T3 W3 A3 Ld10 Sv2+

Psychic powers:
Choose one of these to be active at the beginning of your turn:

Biomancy: double his M, S, T, W, A characteristics
Mind cannon: Range 72" Assault 1d3, S14, -6, 2D6 damage. Enemies damaged halve their leadership value. can target units not in line of sight and characters
Mind veil: Emperor and any friendly unit within 3" is considered out of LoS until an enemy is withing 2d6" of them (roll every time to a unit attempts to see them).
