Nice get, that's an epic bit of kit.

Looks pretty original to me. Old kits had printed instructions (you see it with things like the original battle wagons) and their cast quality back then was....variable to say the least.

What was the original retail price of that?

The Forge World website has been regularly archived by the Wayback Machine. In June 2011, that fortress wall set cost £690:

(see the Rhino and Shadowsword for scale). You can also see a painted example in this blog post: http://www.banjounchained.co.uk/2014/05/warhammer-world-trip-booked.html
I don't know if that table is still in the Warhammer World Events Hall.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

The FW catalogues have always had prices in different currencies, and the international prices were always higher than UK price.

Thing is, it never mattered because FW charged everything in £ regardless of where you were, so these other prices were just this weird anomaly.

Right until they weren't, and overnight FW raised the prices for everyone that wasn't the UK.

What date is that catalogue from? The USD price works out at $1.65 / £1 which seems reasonable for 2009, 2011 and 2013 (presumably the prices quoted are correct at the time the catalogue went to print).

Nice find!

It does make me sad when people refer to stuff I remember being in production as vintage hammer though...I feel old!

(but I've been playing since the late 80s so I am old)

Also heard back from FW, these were cast on demand and while they wouldnt give me an exact number, apparently less than 200 were made.

Congrats on getting one.

It is a hell of a kit for sure and one of the few FW items from the (old) imperial range that
I do not unfortunately own.

One can only guess about price tag but your wallet should beg for mercy right now...

That was a fantastic kit. Always wanted to see one in person. So many great Forge World kits have been lost to the ages, especially in the terrain category.

Someone's mad they didn't get one.

@OP

Congrats on your new set. I've also always wanted one of these, and I'm hopeful one day I will own it. The only terrain-related item I've ever bought that was significant was the standard Realm of Battle board. It's just not seen often in my circles and always on my want list.

Congrats. I just knocked two OOPhammer kits from my list of future acquisitions myself - an original metal 1993 pattern dreadnought and the RT era landspeeder. Can't wait to give them the ol' acetone bath and then start the long road to rebuilding.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

That’s so cool! I remember reading the rules about that thing. Think it had stats and points cost in Imperial armour apocalypse (4th or 5th Ed, don’t remember which).

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.
