Thanks very much

Yer I imagine they were thrown up fast and also I would like to imagine they very old all rusty and covered in grass etc

I’ll have to take a look at colours and paint effects after casting

You should be proud of those trenches, damn I’m sure if you do cast these up you could sell them like hot cakes.

Some vehicle wrecks and barbed wire fields in front of those trenches manned by some death Korps would be an awesome looking games table.

They came out great! The work you put in for the detail really paid off. Do you have any tips to share when you mold and cast something like this? I'd love to see your process, because it really works well.

Hello guys

Thanks so much for your support been real inspiring to get this project moving

The prosses of casting is a tricky one I will take some pictures of the molds soon there is tones of YouTube stuff on how to do this kind of thing and I learnt from them and still learning as I go

Cost wise not sure yet need to test the water first so will put a fully painted set up for auction

Will keep you guys posted on the painting part

Ha ha everyone needs some trenches at some point

I’ve attached a few pictures of the set up and the prosses of pulling the casts from the molds

After this they are sanded down to make sure they are nice and flat and the excess removed from the sides

Hello

Yes only a few sections will accept bigger base sizes but most models with large base sizes tend to have better armour or wounds
And would not need the cover as much as your standard guardsman

Again, thanks for taking the time and sharing in progress pics. I know it's extra work and all. These have really come out great. the last batch of pics, is that a 4 foot long section of trenches or 6? A "table's" width basically?

Hello

Right given them a measure up and it’s just over 3.2 foot long

I imagine this could be made longer with additional sections

Most impressive! Amongst the best I've seen on the subject, those little details really bring them to life.
