Not a xenos player at all here, and not considering picking up a xenos army in any capacity, but..

With soup a more legitimate thing, I think it'd be cool to see a Kroot codex. There's enough already there for like 1 unit per slot, so like 3 more units that are some answers and you have the beginning of a faction. Add in a Brood Brothers esque rule to the main Tau book, and there'd be a "Grand Alliance Tau" to go with IMPERIUM, ELDAR, CHAOS, and TYRANIDS.

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades!

Honestly I think the way Tau has evolved their best approach would be to do them what GW has done with Tyranids and Genestealer Cults.

Create Tau core which is their battlesuits and then create Tau Alliance which has a core of Kroot, but also backs them up with the multitude of allied xenos that the Tau have brought into their empire. Basically rebooting the concept that Tau clearly started with originally which was to be a motley of xenos races that are too small for GW to flesh out into full arimes; but which they can put one or two units into a combined-arms of races type faction.

Kroot would be cool. But what I'd really love is more fleshing out of T'au's old schtick. Specifically "Red Army" with Aux support. Obviously, the Red Army schtick is already supported (Fire Warriors and Hammerheads/Skyrays), although it's been sidelined in favor of Suits for a few editions now. But the Aux is where I wish they'd go hog wild. I love that they use Kroot and Vespids. I want to see more things coopted for The Greater Good. This is where their turn into more stylistic and divergent models would shine. There are lots of species in the galaxy. They could add a kit with a race never used elsewhere. They could add Vespids or Kroot with other assignment/kit. They could add Gue'sava. There is so much they could do.

I'd like to see new Nid bioforms. Their potential is kinda endless considering their adaptability angle.

New Tau allies would be nice, and make the kroot and Vespid not suck so much.

Give Tau a way to help fight all the -hit modifiers, they just don’t shoot well enough for an army with no melee(except farsight) units and no psyches.

Give Tau a good way to defend against psychers, maybe something like the gloom prism necron had in 5th or 6th, basically a 4+ or 5+ to deny the psycher within x inches.

Make crisis suits not terrible for their points, when you look at bringing a squad of 3 a lot of times it becomes why not just bring a riptide.

Keep shield drones useful but less frustrating to play against and not slow the game down so much passing off wounds. Maybe something like auto pass the wounds but each drone must have line of sight to the model they take a wound from.

For Nids it’s make dimecharon(or however the hell its spelled) good, doesn’t need to be OP but at least good would be nice, it’s a cool model but it’s rules suck.

It's a really expensive distraction for a first turn charge. I've been using one in most games at 2k for fun.

It's terrible - but great fun vs. casual games or newer players who don't bubble/screen their Havocs/Devastators/Tanks

I have 2 and run them a lot because I have 2 and I love the model, they almost never do anything much but once in a while, and using a swarmlord to catapult them into cc turn 1 is really fun.

Beyond the obvious metal/finecast to plastic conversions, I’d like to see an overhaul done on Kroot Rules. And more Tau allies - from gue’vesa rules to more alien allies like demiurg and the like.

Necrons could use getting their Pariahs back and other unit diversity - especially in weapon loadouts. Make the monolith better and create a minor version - the obelisk - that is just a mobile, unmanned weapon with no transport ability (but deals extra damage with multiples, like prism cannons for Eldar).

Brainy Biophagus Brewing Potent Chemicals

Tyranids:
1. Biovore/Pyrovore duel kit
2. Lictor kit with options for Deathleaper
3. Parasite of Mortex character clampack
4. Ripper Swarm/Skyslasher Swarm kit.
6. Lord of War option
a. Possibly bring back the Dominitrix from epic as a synaptic Lord of War.
7. Capillary Towers (if only to complete a feeder swarm)

Genestealer Cults
1. Light transport Flyer - possibly some sort of repurposed cargo shuttle or helicopter.
2. Expanded Industrial Heavy Support options.
a. Mining "artillery" (vehicle or platform) with options for a massively scaled up Seismic Cannon/Mining Laser or some sort of heavy melta-like weapon.
b. "Battle fortress" converted from a large mining dozer. Something relatively durable (by the standards of the faction) that can soak up anti-armor fire for other vehicles. Possibly give a transport capacity depending on how many catwalks the model might have.
4. Dedicated mech commander (maybe mounted in a battle limo to bring that back)
5. Dedicated fire support squad
a. Possibly an Aberrant variant that can move and fire heavy weapons without penalty innately, option for a Seismic Cannon, Mining Laser, Heavy Stubber, or Atalan Incinerator.

I'd also love to see a Xenos Mercenaries book that could introduce a couple new minor Xenos and serve as a compendium of the existing "minor" xenos minatures (especially those from Blackstone Fortress). Ideally everything would have the <unaligned> keyword by default so they could ally in with different factions without breaking keywords. Maybe add the option to assign a faction keyword if running an army directly out of the book.

I agree with pretty much all the above butwould add that chaos marines cou;ld do with an actual proper flyer

I mean, Heldrakes are "proper flyers" IMO. I feel, personally, that flyers in general seem to be getting ignored for designs these days.

The poor heldrake doesn't have supersonic, minimum moves or hard to hit etc. Its rules are essentially a fast moving monster rather than a flyer.

To be fair that was pretty much what it was supposed to be when it first came out a daemon engine that could fly and make melee attacks against things while breathing fire, it really wasn’t originally supposed be a true flyer. No hard to hit, supersonic, and min move makes some sense it’s supposed to be flying low and slow to attack things.

All this talk of PA humans in various colours is getting a bit dull so for those who do not play those factions what would you like to see?
Personally;
I would love to see all the Eldar Aspects getting some plastic love (as well as updated SS).
An expansion to the Court of the Archon idea with some new races and some way of making them playable for other factions besides DA.
Exodites, they are featuring more in the fluff and it is about time that the dino riders made a come back.
Snakebite Orks, the rugged savage aspect of the species that seems to have fallen out if favour, make boarboys great again! (and release a jousting game between them and Exodites).

So what about everyone else (IOM players need not apply).

Love this thread and all of your ideas above.

I'd also like to add -

First and most importantly - no finecast remaining for any faction - all finecast models should be replaced with plastic.
Second and probably as important as above - codex supplements for each faction ala recent SM releases.

"Primeorks" - Boss level Orks of a much greater standing/intelligence than is typical.
Ghazghkull updated to be Primarch status and size.
Replacement units for the Ork characters lost on bikes - something with a KFF, something with a proper Power Klaw on a bike, perhaps a character on a Deffkopta and a Painboss on Bike/Buggy (which is what the Squigbuggy should have been really).
Updated Boyz models (not a popular choice in my faction mind) representing the growth from the Octatius war.

Grot revolushun models - a full line like what's happened with GSC. I would spend some serious money.

Updated Tau Auxiliaries.

Updated Avatar of Khaine for Craftworld - it should be in plastic and like a Greater Daemon.
Bring back Vect and optional pimp/slave mobile.

A new Necron C'tan and Pariahs.

A new Tyranid troop to represent the war between them and the Orks at Octarius.
A new Tyranid big bug.

Ooo personally me and my friend would love to see Farsight specific crisis suits geared for close range. Not necessarily melee but I wouldn't rule it out.

Big shield like farsight, maybe some kind of melee weapon. Strength user would be passable but probably D2 since they're suits, and to top it off a pistol, lots of shots but mid strength, short range, and can be fired in melee.

This is what we'd like to see

Tau Empire:
New Kroot models (Kroot Hounds, Knarloc Riders, Great Knarloc, Shaper) alognside a Codex: Kroot
Possibly a completely new auxiliary race
Maybe a new Tau Empire unit, focused either on melee or psychic defense

Necron
Silent King model
More Triarch units
Flayed Ones in plastic

Tyranid
Finecast non-HQ models in plastic (Lictors, Biovores, etc)
New Titan-sized model in plastic (IK-equivalent)

Orks
no idea about them

Eldars (CE, DE, ...)
Aspect Warriors in plastic

Hmm, honestly apart from finally getting a pyrovore model (no, i don't consider that warp spawned phallic imitation a miniature), i don't see a lot of stuff that Tyranids need. They are complete, everything new would feel exactly like every new marine model, tacked on.

What i would like for tyranids is a redesign around a concept based on lots of wounds and extremely high T (9 and 10) with low or no saves. We don't have a faction in the game with that combination of stats, and the economy of the game requires some T9 and T10.

Right now organic beasts are exactly identical to mechanical tanks stat wise.

This is actually a pretty interesting idea. Not saying it's perfect or great but I am curious about how it would work on a grander scale

I don't even play a non-marine faction and I honestly wouldn't mind not getting a release for the next 12 months or so to give me a chance to digest all the new stuff. Sure, I'd like to see a Suppressor box with a melee uint as an alt-build (like, a lot...) but baring that one wishlist item I'd much rather see all the xenos factions get some love for the health of the game.

I'd be happy to see pretty much anything that's not Craftworld Eldar and even then, I'd be happier to see that than anything Imperial... except Imperial Guard, they'd get a pass but I'm bias. They could count as a GSC release of sorts at a stretch, mind you.

In an ideal world, I'd like Demiurg but I know that's not likely to happen.
