I always forget to shoot/move units...mostly because I am such a hurry to get 3 turns in before the clock runs out.

I make mistakes and play sloppy on the clock too.

I'll often just stop moving and charging with units like Guardsmen and BSS as the clock winds down so as not to eat up my time with precisely moving lots of guys.

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades!

By top 5 mistakes
5) Moving Plague Marines out of cover because they should be durable enough (spoiler: they aren't).
4) Spending CP on retaliation stratagems. If I'm going down, I'll take you down with me Mr. 50 point support character!
3) Not shooting twice with SSAG/naut when I have the points to do so because I already took a big chunk of the enemy army to conserve CP. There is no such thing as enough dakka!
2) Blocking my own movement. I often move the model first that I want to shoot first, sometimes resulting in a Morkanaut blocking an entire column of buggies or a PBC forcing crawlers and drones to go around it.
1) Losing my close combat beatsticks like daemon prince, wartrike and warboss to anti-tank guns because I badly positioned them, charged something unnecessary or protecting them with too easily removed models

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

My most consistent bad habit is giving my opponent first turn without really thinking it through.

I always build lists to be able to win from going second but sometimes it would still be easier to win going first - depending on the mission - but I just give them first turn out of habit.

I’ve done that a time or 30, it’s so easy to get wrapped up in killing and not look at objectives, especially when I play my CSM.

Blood for the bloo... wait no, I meant for Sanguinius!

I also have made the mistake of making mass front-line charges across the broad front.

It's better to charge in piecemeal than en-masse against enemy melee units, since a massed charge gives them the chance to 2CP interrupt.

Using a CP to reroll a very relevant 2+.

After two years of the edition you’d think I would learn that paying to reroll a 1 ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS fails for me.

I have a bad habit of keeping Tactical Marines still to take some long shot Missle chance when it would do me better to move them up that turn.

Re-rolling a 1, which 7/10 is a 1 again.

Forgetting to shoot pistols in melee.

Forgetting that models have grenades.

Forgetting to move units which i have hidden, i hid them so well that i dont remember that i have them.

Forgetting to take a hostage.

I regularly forget that just because 9 out of the 10 guys in a unit are out line of sight they are not safe.

Yeah, should have brought an axe.

I have a habbit of telling my opponents how to beat me during the game...………..

Like I basically just say stuff like "Well you can either do this, or that and here are your odds of it happening" and "You should probably get onto that objective, cause points win you games".

It's a bad habit, though not horrible in casual settings.

In 8th I have a bad habit of just not using stratagems.
And forgetting the psychic phase because I hardly ever use it.

Spent the last year playing GSC in a slow grow trying to work those two out of my brain.

Impulse control.

I'm decent at thinking through a plan and acting on it, but there always comes a point where I'll be tempted to deviate from the plan for something stupid. For example, the last game I played, I had a group of Death Shroud Terminators moving to take an objective that was unguarded (I had assumed my opponent was planning on deepstriking onto it so I wanted the DS guys there to handle whatever he dropped in). So I get to a point where a single Warp-Time from my allied Black Legion sorcerer would get them there, but they're also a stone's throw away from murdering some scouts who are A. not on an objective, and B. not really a threat to any of my stuff, but C. would be very fun to kill. So of course I warp-time 'em to the scouts (who I absolutely butcher), but then the sorcerer gets killed, I can't get the objective fast enough (because Cataphractii armor), and my opponent takes that objective. This happens to me a lot. Maybe I should just play World Eaters? At least then it would be "in character"

Killing dogs of the False Emperor is always an objective.

I still haven’t learned when it is worth it to advance and take the -1 with assault weapons.
