Find even one person who thinks this is a problem before going on an internet tirade about your straw man.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Series 1 and 2 became available outside of Japan roughly 12 months after release - if the same trend was to continue expect Series 3 to start around September/October this year.

"Courage and Honour. I hear you murmur these words in the mist, in their wake I hear your hearts beat harder with false conviction seeking to convince yourselves that a brave death has meaning.
There is no courage to be found here my nephews, no honour to be had. Your souls will join the trillion others in the mist shrieking uselessly to eternity, weeping for the empire you could not save.
To the unfaithful, I bring holy plagues ripe with enlightenment. To the devout, I bring the blessing of immortality through the kiss of sacred rot.
And to you, new-born sons of Gulliman, to you flesh crafted puppets of a failing Imperium I bring the holiest gift of all.... Silence."

This times a thousand. If someone just happens to ask, it's not hard to say it's just there for looks. Just because Plague Marines aren't allowed the option in the rules, doesn't mean they don't carry sidearms in the lore, like any other soldier. Just as long as somebody doesn't play fast and loose with rules, trying to be slick, then the rule of cool applies here. But I seriously doubt that anyone, other the occasional prick, will make a big deal out of it.

Thank you I did not know that timeframe, I'll have my eyes peeled for little boxes of nurgles blessings. May the nurgles rot bless you, but not too much my friend.
Jokes aside, stay safe out there friends, wash them hands, avoid the real nurglings and stay healthy.

I thought, lore wise, plague marines were meant to be so stocky they just use full size bolters as pistols... wasn’t that what their old true grit rules were trying to encapsulate. While I’m on a tirade let us also consider that basically all space marines are meant to carry a bolt gun, pistol and combat knife. It’s always been irksome that for many editions, rules-wise, they didn’t.

As far as I know. They did use bolters as sidearms because of their body type (if I recall correctly, I'm not up to snuff on all the specifics for the traitor legions post-Heresy). I just it funny that there are people out there who take WYSIWYG to an illogical extreme, at the expense of common sense.
I agree with the last point 100%. I'm with you on that one.

Oozing Plague Marine Terminator

The Icon Bearer should have been a character like a Company Ancient, especially after getting an expensive blister pack, but I imagine the book got bloated (no pun intended) with all the Elite characters already.
