playing everyday, got TTS and Vassal, my buddy will come over once a week and we play necromunda to help keep each other sane.

4. Got a few volunteer sessions at the local Foodbank...and this load lookz set to increase.

Well, I'm working on my GK army.
Just a competitive 2000 pt wysiwyg which requires some remodeling.
But I've not too much time as our Univ. shifts all courses to online in the summer term.
I'll use zoom to bring my courses forward ...

With work and painting I have no time for playing anyway. If I wasn't working I'd be painting more. Lot's more.

Working from home has left little bits of time to paint, or spray.
There's a shelf of shame to build and prep, so I'll be at that for ages yet.

As for gaming, nope. There are online versions of some games, like WH Underworlds, but it isn't really the same.

I recently obtained and built three new pieces of terrain (a set of rubble barricades, and a pair of nice third party fortress towers) that would have made it really fun to play with my nephews, but my sister's shut them down in her house out in the sticks. Sucks.

That combined with me not wanting to go in to a store where everyone's handling and touching everything... yeah, no games.

Been playing videogames instead. Stellaris and Doom Eternal.

My last game was 11 months ago. I'm only now starting to get 'back into it". Started a new army, should be ready for a game in a few months. Not planning to play at a game store only from homes.

Painting stuff...and playing D&D with our group as normal. I don't game overly much anyway, and I am still going to the range and shooting when I've got ammo/time.

I've actually started playing some games at home solo. Ive got space, time, and a bit of terrain, so instead of playing vidya gaemes a couple times I've just set up games on my living room floor instead.

I envy those of you who can play games against yourselves. I'm unable to do so without subconsciously playing favorites. Pretty much the only board games I can play solo are co-op games, like (appropriately enough) Pandemic.

I play games against myself sometimes to prepare my lists and practice for certain opponents that I might face over the course of events. My objective is to discover what optimal lists my enemy might bring, what strategies and tactics would adequately counter my own force, and what I'm going to do/how I'm going to change my list to mitigate or overcome those measures. Likewise, I also get to judge stuff more subjectively, I can determine that hiding behind that bunker that obscures 40% of a vehicle is probably good enough for a cover save from that angle, or that a banner isn't enough to draw LoS to.

Mildly irritated that I dont get my weekly game in, and since my wife is home, we've been doing spring cleaning and watching movies. My goal is to be able to have everything done around the house this weekend so I can get to finish painting all of the half painted stuff I have laying around.

This is the time to get all your various models into "fighting shape" when we can finally see each other again.
I just started putting together a printed "Wardog" for 40k so that monster is keeping me busy.
I am STILL made to work, my place is considered essential, so I am not in full hobby high-gear yet.

I've been doing some small games with my father, so I'm fine with that. But not being able to get World Eater upgrade from FW is annoying.

I am fortunate to have a basement gaming table so my son and I are getting some Kill Team in. I'm also painting when I'm not working to relax my mind. I'm military, and even with self-monitoring it's 12 hour days right now.

Model and paint. The actual playing of games for me is the weakest leg of that tripod.

Videogames. I don't do pvp videogames, and avoid multiplayer online games, so single player mode is fine for me.

I'm also a full-time carer, so that cuts down on the "spare time" a fair bit anyway.

Painted two Khorograths for AoS and about to work on Archaon. In addition, the missus collects Sylvaneth and I could probably coax her into trying a basic game at some point.

Painting seems moot to me most days now. As, my main driving force was events.

I hear you on this. In one of my other hobbies, I have seen a rash of cancellations for May events.

I find playing narrative scenarios helps. That tends to set up a natural "protagonist" and "antagonist" for the armies and playing favorites matters less in that scenario. Make it about the spectacle of playing with your toys and not about getting in a "regular game" of 40K.

But you still have the roll dice and the better army wins right?

Playing matches online is keeping me going. Tabletop Simulator actually isn't that bad on Steam

I am obsessed with 40k, and my partner is awesome enough to be an opponent for me, even though she's not quite as into the game as I am.

I might get my Wych Cult Arena finished today; it's a tall order, but it's possible. I finished the dettailing on the last 4 columns and put the base layer of paint on all of my tiles and 2 out of eight columns.

I have to duplicate the mix I used to paint everything in order to finish the base layer on the last six columns, then it's drybrush, drybrush, drybrush in order to pick out the details.

Then I just need to build 2 teams of 5 basic wyches and we can arena fight to earn rep, recruits and wych weapons for our fledgling cults.

I've got a whole campaign arc for it, but I've been creeping through the project since October. Last night's work was a flash of inspiration.
