The problem is that humans have got taller over the decades and many bits of furniture are sized to average humans from the 1950's.

I was just speaking to a coworker about this a few weeks back. The average height for males about 2000 years ago was somewhere around 5'5.
I'm not a tall person myself but I find the rather small window of height evolution very interesting.

Going through this thread makes me a bit jealous. I wish I had a room dedicated strictly to miniature projects.

Probably worth the additional rent money to get an extra room I suppose.. We'll see though.

The thing that is going to convince me to move out of my apartment is the hobby. Not there yet.

I’d like to have space for an airbrush
When I have The Boy on alternate weekends, he sleeps in my workroom. Being a teenager, he would sleep to noon if left unattended. So I can’t work on the the mornings he’s over. (I do take some build projects out and work in the kitchen, but miss the dedicated space on my bench)
I’d like room to have a dedicated table, space for terrain, and leave my lightbox set up.

But moving is such a pain...

I feel like I "finaly" moved in. Finished adding the paint racks today and quite frankly I think for now its enough.
The only piece of the puzzle is an airbrush booth/extractor but its not a priority as I have plenty of stuff that's been primed and based that's ready to be painted. Id smash a bottle of champagne on the wall but Id be the one to have to clean the foggin mess...

The natural light from the window is plenty of light during the day and the lighting seems ok.

The long lamp is a bit crap but will see how it goes. Might have to replace it with a proper daylight dentist style lamp i saw but was too stingy.

The great work can commence!
