The perfection thing is really how slaneesh got under the skin o of the EC. In the garden of slaneesh there are circles that you have to survive to get to the palace at the center. I think they loosely relate to the 7 deadly sins. Gluteny, lust, vanity and so on.

That’s why slaneeshi cultists should be pretty common. I suspect slaneesh is often fuelled by the behaviour of people who have no idea what slaneesh even is.

Gluteny. The most despicable sin! That's when people put way too much gluten in their food.

Slaanesh and his servants indulge in war: it is yet another pleasure to be sampled, not a serious business or test of strength. War is simply a game, part of the greater ritual, and Slaanesh is always the first to insist upon elaborate conditions and rituals before the Legions give battle.

The followers of Slaanesh seek gratification of the senses in all things. Battle is merely another method of finding a new warped pleasure. For Slaanesh's servants the thrills of battle are there to be joyfully experienced and repeated. Slaaneshi Daemons and mortal warriors delight in causing pain and killing; their wanton slaughter is spurred to greater heights by the pleasure they find in bloodshed.

The Slaaneshi attitude to battle and death is reflected in the Legion's appearance. Its troops parade in frivolous colours and clashing patterns, fantastic jewels and flamboyant costumes. The whole impression is that of a costume ball or masque rather than one of battle. The demeanour of a Slaaneshi Legion is equally perverse. Its Daemons and warriors shriek obscene jokes to each other, disport themselves with the dead and laugh with pleasure even as their own lives are taken. Any sensation, is after all, to be experienced and enjoyed. To express horror is a dreadful failing, one that is sure to be punished by the Lord of Pleasure.

-p. 185, Realms of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness

The one commandment of Slaanesh seems to be: Thou Shalt Enjoy It! (no matter what It is)

Slaanesh followers may be initially attracted because they think they will be the ones that Do Unto Others, but they are more likely in the end to have horrible things done to them (and be expected to enjoy it).

The 6 circles of Slaanesh are a variation of the deadly sins (with Wrath being absent as that is Khorne's). They are Avarice, Gluttony, Carnality (Lust), Paramountcy, Vainglory (Pride), Indolency (Sloth).

see for yourself, so did corsairs and elysians seemingly, if the contents are accurate and gw didn't mess up.
but considering there are no blank non mentioned pages yes, i'd say R&H got curbed.

That... doesn't look good for the Elysians or R&H, I'll give you that. In the case of Corsairs, they didn't have an entry in the Contents page for the 2019 MFM, either - they were just listed in the Asuryani section.

Not saying there are blank pages, but the AdMech section in FW looks odd - listed as page 44, with the IG starting on 46, yet in MFM19 they are less than one column of data. It could just mean a full page illustration in the middle of the data, but that'd be weird. Can't see anything similar in the Chaos section, though.

The removal of Elysians and Renegades is not too schocking though since both lines got axed by FW more than a year ago, we'd probably see similar things for the more recently pulled resin kits. And of course non of this prohibits, GW from simply re-creating Renegade-guard as a different faction.

Indeed. If only they'd remove the "you can only take one" limits from the Servants of the Abyss, you've pretty much got an army there - psykers, beastmen, cultists, traitor guard (with commissar and ogryn bodyguard), negavolt cultists, marine commanders and a few daemon engines and guard vehicles mixed in to provide armour and you're pretty much there!

The basis of Slaanesh's aspect seems to be desire. And as a Chaos god taken to the nth degree.

I desire to have all the pretty ladies.
I desire to eat the best food.
I desire to be the most skilled swordsman.
I desire to be the better artist.
I desire to feel the greatest pleasures.

And desire fuels itself so it is never enough. Always fuelling the more and more extreme.
