I know when I built the Lumineth I have I went to some trouble to make sure all the spears of the Wardens were at the same angle and spaced evenly apart

Serious question, how? Like, they are all monopose, with the only variation in helmets and shields, you can't pose them any other way than they are designed in the first place without massive amount of chopping?

Is it just me, or is Broken Realms showing the potential to reorganise the factions?

Not just compiling stuff, but Morathi shifting to Chaos or Destruction (only an example, and a crap one) etc?

Daughters of Khaine are perhaps the 3rd or 2nd most dedicated to wiping out Chaos. Sigmar and his Stormcast are at the top as the Stormcast are specifically made for the job and each reforging they get beats more of that anti-chaos mantra into them whilst driving out more of their freedom and humanity.

Seraphon are perhaps second or third; the Slaan are very much against chaos but they also play the long game that might even have plans for after the fall of the Realms and when things move onto another world or setting. The Actual grunt troops I think might have shifted a bit, it depends how their lore is now that they aren't just summoned for battle from Ark ships and are living breathing creatures. But they are still very focused on being anti-chaos.

Then there's DoK who have their entire blood cult religious order built around war and defeating Chaos. Indeed of Aelven allies they are perhaps the best for Sigmar in being dedicated toward the goal of driving out Chaos. Plus even though they have historically been one of the smaller groups, they did survive the Age of Chaos and were one of the few not hiding. Even Morathi wasn't hiding like almost all the other gods were. She was front line fighting back the forces of Chaos. If anything Sigmar might even feel a touch of envy that Morathi is doing well on the battlefield.

Also its important to realise that the taking and holding of land and settlements is a "mortal" thing whilst the Gods play the long game. Much like the Gods of the Greeks and Romans, its possible for Morathi and Sigmar to have their peoples fight and war with each other, but also hold an alliance at the very top end. Or at least to recognise the threat of chaos and to unite when the time suits them. Just the same as how the Idoneth King was able to, last moment, ally with Morathi (even though he's not a god). Basically there's a lot of interplay going on and whilst the gods value the lives of their peoples, they are not the most important thing to them - all save perhaps a few - eg Allariels link clearly makes her very very dedicated to her people and responsive to their loss; however it almost seems too much for her and large losses and corruption can totally overwhelm her senses and reasoning.

Again it swings back to that concept that Grand Alliances are not steadfast alliances of peace and that within them there is a LOT of war between the factions. Plus Destruction and Death will stand with Order against Chaos; even though they will also war with each other a lot.

It's actually fairly easy to screw it and end up pointing forward or even angled down. Ended up couple so and it's major pain now.

As tneva82 said, a lot easier than you would think. All it really takes is believing that the models are monopose and naturally the spears would align with each other. Without checking, one could easily have a well-constructed model that is out of sync with the rest. It could probably even happen as the glue is drying that some droop down a bit. I actually prepped about 4 Wardens before gluing them together just in case the first few were the odd ones out. With 3" long spears it is very easy to spot any variation after the fact with they are all blocked up in groups of twenty. It is so very easy to miss when you only have a couple. I know when and if I get more (I want 40 total), I will have all of my Warden models on the build table to make sure they all match up.

The Lumineth are definately a faction you really have to pay attention when building them. I had to rip off a few capes from my Stone Guard because I used so little glue and didn't hold them in place long enough that they must have slid down some creating a gap. I didn't even notice the gap until they were sprayed white. The Dawn Guard are the hardest GW models I have built (haven't attempted a drop pod though) and among some of the most difficult models I have ever built. Thin pieces and strange angles all over the place. Any mistake is going to show up clear as day since I am going with the default GW scheme colors. But they look so very good when done, and well worth the hassle. Still, I have a hard time painting them as I am scared of screwing them up and haven't figured out exactly how I am going to do it. So I work on everything else needing paint instead since gaming for me is likely still a long, long time away.

The Lumineth models are not beginner-friendly at all. I think a beginner could tackle them, but it'd be trial by fire. They can take more rough handling than you would think, though, not much more than that. I have already had to reinforce a Stone Guard hammer and will probably need brass rods if the Dawn Rider standards ever break off.

Think it was the glue is drying drooping down that did the trick for me...So now those models gets to be on back rank sides so they can point toward side in angle. Only way I can rank 'em up! (so that opponent can get into b2b if needed...)

I guess I got lucky with the one unit I glued, they all ranked up easily. I just really wish they had their pikes in up position, so the enemy could actually get to my bases without me having to angle the pikemen up...
