They are in the same codex only, because GW knows they can force a large population of players like different marine factions to buy multiple books. If they could they would split the DE book in to 3 separate books, preferably in a such a way that the units you need for 1 army would be in 3 different books(vide SW and their TWC rules), they would do it. There is aren't enough players for those xeno factions to make the printing of that many books valid.

And I didn't mention GK. It took me some time, like almost 2 years I think, but now I know that when people say marines they exclude GK from it. Doesn't change the fact that armies like SW or DA or BA have been factions far longer then some other armies exist as a playable faction.

wtf are you even talking about?
I'm saying that there is 3 different Aeldari codex, each with zero units in common.

Drukhari
Craftworld
Harlequins

Every (non GK) Space marine chapter is in a single codex

Space Marines

Your rebuttal to this argument is somehow saying that if Drukhari were more popular, they would be 3 codexes? It makes no sense.

Well the question here is...do you want to play one of the strongest armies in the game with the most terrible fluff?

Or one of the weakest with one of the best fluffs?

The edgelord fluff lover has been spotted.

Absolutely.

The think ultimately the greyknights highlight just how evil and determined the imperium is.

If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Really?
Then please explain to me why I need a 2nd book to actually play my SW & DA as those chapters. Where do I find the entry for my Grey Hunters, Blood Claws, Sky Claws, Longfangs, T-Wolves, wulfin, Bjorn, named characters, SW flyers, or SW specific strats/wargear/relics etcin this single book? I'm not seeing them. Or did I just overlook those pages?

Oh bull. It makes perfect sense. If GW thought they could sell it to you, the new Drukari(sp?) codex would cotain a selection of common base units & then be split into several additional $30 books each detailing a specific kabal, each with several unique units/variations on units.
So you'd buy Codex: Drukari. And then you'd buy Codex Suppliment: xyz with that kabals unique stuff (sound familiar? Oh, wait, that's the scam they're running on me right now for my SW....)

A strong argument in favor of GK is that GW has pushed Marines a lot in the last year(s) which have now more than 100 data sheets.
I guess that GK will benefit from this development when they get a new codex.
On the other hand, there is no reason to believe that Harlies will change a lot.
