Watched it finally. Enjoyed it. Its of course got its issues with scientific accuracy, and wondering how that garage full of dinosaurs from the last one managed to form a world wide population in a few years time, but you just kind of gloss over that for the story they’re telling. So yeah, if you liked the previous ones you’ll probably find this one about the same. More Dinos, more deaths, more Malcom making no god danged sense. My only two real issues are probably the various pterodactyls’ apparent need to seek out and murder absolutely anything that moves, and the scene with the deer.

It was pretty awful. I can't tell if it was actually worse than Fallen Kingdom, which I did not think possible but here we go.

It was disjointed, lacked focus, characters had muddled motivations, the bad guy(s) were not interesting in the slightest and the dinosaur scenes were recycled.
It actually burned me out on dinosaurs which were shown to attack the protagonists at every opportunity - which was hilariously at odds with the supposed message that dinosaurs are sympathetic creatures. They even mentioned in the news how they keep killing people, feel a little sting Maisie? It was you who released them among the general public, by the Jurassic laws it should be you who is eaten.

I think by the rules of Jurassic Park kids don't get eaten. Well, maybe in Jurassic World, somewhere in the background where it's not so obvious. Maisie's a protagonist, so she's in the clear.

Wasn't a good movie. I really like Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, but it seems like the good movies are exclusively those with a park. Once they move away from that, it gets bad.

There was no buildup to the big dino fight, so I never even got to figure out which one to root for, but we knew the T-Rex was going to win anyway, so I guess there was no point in pretending. There wasn't even much in the way of dinosaur related fatalities. I think the most fun to watch were the Carnotauruses on Malta. Not a good sign if the sideshow is better than the finale.

The rest is pretty loosely strung together scenes, a weird doomsday scenario and cookie cutter evil corporations doing what cookie cutter evil corporations do. On that note, did they style the CEO after Steve Jobs?

I think the cast was too big, too. There were some fun interactions, but none of them got enough screen time to actually get to do much, or drive much of a plot with much of a point.

I reckon most of that wouldn't be so bad if the dinosaur action was handled right, but eh. Maybe they'll start another trilogy called Jurassic Universe ten years from now and we get another good movie with a park in it.

Jurassic Universe, the park is a moon, there’s No Way they can escape.

P.S. (they escape)

Of course they'll escape. Did you see that space age helicopter in the latest movie? Ten years from now they'll be able to fly a helicopter to the moon while playing the Jurassic Park theme!
