No problem with it at all, providing there is still a bonus for buying at events, rather than just a 6 month exclusivity bonus, whether that is a slightly more expensive price for MTO, or a voucher to buy it cheaper MTO if you don't want to purchase at the event etc.

Whatever way round it is done, just make sure the people who already pay a lot of money for event tickets, do get a benefit.

I'd grab that Dark Angel company master if the price was right. It won't be right though. It'll be a fething horrific price.

Thinking of grabbing that bearded Scout Sgt (Tellion, was it?), its a nice piece from that era when Scouts looked their best IMHO (talking about the metal scouts). Hope there isn't too much Ultrasmurf iconography to file off..
Telion was a 5th edition sculpt where as the metal scouts were 3rd ed, with the plastic kits being 4th ed.

My brain is such a mush from years of GW product churn that times between 3rd edition and 5th edition all kind of amalgate into the same period for me But you can still place the metal scouts and Tellion next to a 2022 beakie and they'll look in-scale, oddly enough. The plastic scouts havent aged nearly as well..

They looked like they'd all been hit in the face with a shovel when they were released; and they still do.

Nothing there I want/need but good to see some older models coming back.

I just paid a pretty penny for the free Arbites guy, but I figure it's cheaper than a ticket to the US or Europe. And I am the keeper of the Arbites Flame after all.

The benefit of the event ticket is going to the event in question.

The Champion was last year's exclusive anyway and if the backlog of event models gets slots then the current stock is still going to be exclusive for a while.

Nice to see Tycho and Corbulo back for a while, classic designs. While none of the SM MWOs are particularly interesting to me the addition of a former event exclusive is certainly an intriguing direction to go.

Not entirely sure I feel about it, to be honest. On the one hand I don't particularly like artificially restricting availability of models based on someone happening to be in a certain place at a certain time, and it will cut scalpers off at the knees (a bit, depends on how often MTOs come round), on the other hand I'd be a bit annoyed if some of my old Games Day models were available again, or something like the Imperial Marine (who only comes to mind because he's in a sealed box on my desk right now)

I'm sure they won't reprint old packaging, so the mint in box value remians.
