Caestus Assault Ram is back baby! As is my recently aquired DKoK Centaur, so this makes me smile.

All the BSF models getting rules for 10th is also appreciated (I have all of them), this is probably because the new boardgame will come out soon with Janus Draik & co + an Ambull. I will surely buy that silly lil boardgame now, just to get doubles of those models.

All in all, I'm pleasantly surprised

Nice to see I can field my Centaur assault carriers…annoying to see Grenadiers no longer available in squads of 5. Just what the hell am I supposed to put in the Centaurs. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Ruinstorm one? Wider sure but he's a big slug boy. Height wise he's probably about the same as the newer Prince kit which is about 12cm tall.
Spoiler:

From that, I'd put him at a little over 2 Space Marines tall which sits pretty close to the new Prince. The bigger difference is that Cor'Bax is long because he's all slug-like.

Thanks, that picture puts it into better perspective. In other pictures, he had looked more GUO-sized.

Which board game are you talking about? Is it a new BSF or something else?

To be fair GUOs are pretty short anyway. The other Greater Daemons are either big muscles or long limbs. GUOs are the short kings of the lineup.

There will be a new 'Combat Arena' boardgame with the BSF characters and the Ambull called Lair of the Beast, but it will only be available in Germany and the US, distributed mostly by bookstores.

They’ve confirmed on social media that none of these Legend units will be added to the app, which is a real shame.

GW seem determined to not take easy wins like that, it’s baffling. They should be doing everything they can to make that app the go to place for any and all 40K rules and points, if nothing else but to drive subscribers when it eventually goes back to a paid subscription.

Awesome. I've wanted to make the Ambull into a Nurgle prince for a while now but couldn't because I couldn't find the model for a reasonable price.

If Legends are going to be excluded from tournaments then it makes sense to exclude them from the app to prevent confusion. They could have a seperate "legends" section, but then if they are going to do that why not have them as valid units anyway?

Seems like it should not be too hard to have a “show/hide legends” toggle in the app so they are there for those who want them.

But it’s really just a bone tossed to legacy players to keep us happy with our old collections. Can’t expect too much support.

If they want people to really accept that there is a difference between "tournament legal" and "you can use this for pickup games in stores and in gaming groups" then not including any of these units in the apps is an *fantastic* way of undermining that message.

It discourages people for using them, or it discourages people from using the app. I don’t play tournaments and will never play in a tournament. But I would like to easily put lists together using an all in one app. They’re close to having a useful app, this undermines that completely.

So this is interesting: guard artillery units, even ones which have direct equivalents in the index, do not have the Heavy rule on their guns. Basilisk gets it, Earthshaker platform doesn't. Incoming artillery nerf preview?

The Earthshaker Platform et al literally cannot move, so they don't need [Heavy], because they always remain stationary anyway, the bonus can just directly be incorporated in the statlines.

Other than that, you seem to be onto something, the Heavy Mortar from the HM Battery gets it, but the Dominus, the Medusa and the Griffon don't. Seems like they axed the combination of Heavy and Indirect Fire for the most part.

The carriage version (FW index) can't move but it still has Heavy.

Interesting, but it still might be just a copy/paste error. However, other stuff like the aformentioned Griffon etc. point to it being intentional at least in some cases.

Being honest the odds of this document being riddled with errors because they can't be bothered to proof read is higher than the main ones, and those already had enough errors.

At best something being intentional rather than lazy is at best 50 / 50.

I'm surprised by the amount of old units present. I thought GW was going to give us a few old special characters, and call it a day.

It's legends stuff, so take them in a squad of 5 as before after telling your opponent. I don't think anybody that doesn't have a problem playing legends wouldn't allow it.

Hmmm.....good for someone looking to build an "all mortals" Chaos army, no? Personally, still prefer the HH Militia list for that, but this seems right up your alley Gert.

But no rules for a Chaos Lord with Jump Pack, something that 100% had a model.

Given how expertly crafted the rest of these documents are, there's a fairly even chance that whoever wrote them didn't know what rules the other artillery had.

Which means I can finally have the Death Guard army I wanted since the Gellarpox came out: power armoured Plague Marines advancing behind a wave of vermin!

it's honestly laughable when you compare where R&H legends ended up and then look at 30k and the militia list.

so good news for everyone who owns the old Marneus Calgar model and thought they don't need to buy the new one, your model is officially a SM Captain now and not Marneus Clagar any more
