Forgot to post my thinks on the Sabres.

Main tank is a joy. They are small, but none too fiddly and they go together super neatly.

However….whilst there are ways to do it, making the hull weapon swappable isn’t native to the design. And those teensy tiny rockets? You thought the exhausts on the Rhino chassis were a pain in the bum?

These have little blocks to one side, which fit into indentations on the side armour. They’re far from impossible, but took a bit to figure out exactly where we’re meant to mount them. And some of mine are a bit wonky angle wise.

Yeah. The LI kits seem to be a step away from the ease of build that you find on the 28mm variety. I hope this has not pushed people away.

They’re not that far off.

Even the tiny bits aren’t exactly flimsy, just pretty small. As the proud owner of sosig Fingers, three of which really can’t feel much due to now 30 year old nerve damage, I can still manage. Just needs a bit of patience and care.

Finally started building Baneblades and Leman Russes. My goodness, I was surprised at the number of pieces. It all fit nicely, apart from the track bits, which were fiddly even after filing. I hate to admit, but cutting/clipping/filing these little pieces almost had me pining for simpler models (iirc the old Land Raiders and Rhinos were 1-piece with hollow bottoms?). But the detail is lovely, and my only real complaint is no tight-fitting, friction fit mechanism for the barrels for swapping out. (I am absolutely not magnetizing at this scale, for sanity's sake.) As it is, I am using a bit of tack for the baneblade/hellhammer barrels. Temporarily for now, but who knows. I like the machine gunner on top, but it looks fragile as hell.

The Leman Russes are much more fun. I have a whole assembly line going. Again, I wish the fit of the battlecannon/vanquisher was a little tighter.

I drilled out the barrels for the baneblade/hellhammer. I was able to put a divot in the end of the LR battlecannon, but I don't think I'm touching the vanquisher cannon. Part of me wishes the barrel ends were two pieces to avoid drilling at this scale, but not sure how nightmarish that would be to glue.

Does anybody know any third party making sponsons for the Leman Russ? I know, I know, that's not the rules in fakeyear 30,000, but I can't help what I like, and I like me some sponsons.

Just finished 10 Rhinos. I had a little assembly line going. The hulls are an absolute joy to slap together...and then you get to the four exhaust pipes. I...I didn't enjoy that.

Hopefully I can prime over the weekend, but I'd like to get a few more tanks & transports ready by then.
