Warcradle just released the beta orbat for the Enlighened faction:

Looks like a very fun faction to play with, though very swingy through the overcharge mechanic.

So swingy that I would probably limit it somewhat on the very cheap citizen units.

I like the look of the Diemos, Mars and Phobos tripods. Not super excited about the Battlegroup abilities. Will be fun to face on the field, but I like my Crown rules and aesthetics overall more.

So far just the learn to play stufff ^^. It's looking pretty cool, though

Played my first game this weekend, 1K points. The game itself is very smooth, even though we were doing quite a bit of rulebook flipping (some things work well in practice but feel unintuitive, leading to lots of double checking).
Combined arms carried the day, with fierce fighting over objectives leading to prioritizing targeting infantry.
Moral works well with the cards and feels relevant. Tanks, while tough, were kind of easy to just ignore, since what was on the table wasn't that great into infantry (though that would probably change with different reinforcement levels and units).
At the point level we were playing at, activation advantage felt more relevant than single big activations, though not by a huge amount.

I'm really curious to try reserves and flank attacks. It seems like it would make a large difference for some units (Cavalry and Field Guns especially).

nice report thank you. Finding the effective use for each unit is a challenge sometimes, we've only played twice and find it a fun game as well. Cheers for the write up.

Crown Field Guns send advancing cavalry fleeing in terror.

I had fun with these, and although 10mm can be a bit tedious to paint, the army is getting done!
