I largely agree with you, but wasps are definitely very tiny daemon princes of Khorne.

It took me a moment, but my brain registered the sentence as: "Wasps are driven by Sprite..."

From a narrative point of view, the emperor being a god of order and structure makes sense and has some interesting aspects. Though kind of feels derivative of Sheogorath/Jyggalag with their whole bipolar cyclical curse. Perhaps he'd split apart, becoming a small sub pantheon in his own right, the differing aspects of himself he's shown in the lore becoming their own identity. He could also have become a god of, I dunno, exploration? Since that's been a pretty key part of his entire existence. Spreading, growing, seeking new information, science and lands. Finally finding out what's beyond the edge of the galaxy, it would explain his obsession with his webway project after all.

The nature of the chaos pantheon is that they cover so many aspects of existence, so that the authors can explain their influence on any given planet or race. The only reason orks arn't more wrapped up with the pantheon is due to Gork and Mork, probably a design choice by the Old Ones or we'd see loads of Khorne and Slanesshi orks due to their obsessions.
