Here is a pic of all of the Veterans that I have done so far. I need to add accessories and other equipment, but they are built, and that's what counts. SoG

The one that throws the grenade looks a bit odd, but that could be because of the diffrent colours.

The Chaplain is now more or less done, I just need to get the final bitz to add to him and then he will be completed. Here is an up to date shot of him. Note that nothing is glued together, and that it is all blue-tacked on. SoG

The Veterans are done save for their accessories! MkVI Marines MkV Marines MkIV Marines MkIII Veteran Sergeant - w/ Apothecary Upgrade There you have it, after 50 days of work, the unit is finally complete! I may reposition the arms of one of the MkV Marines, but then again, I may not. I need to add their grenades and shoulder tabard things and when I get the bitz I traded, I can give the ones that need shoulder pads the studded ones. I hope to get these guys primed within the next week or so and start painting them. Next Project: Venerable Dreadnought SoG

I like the last guy.... the one with the apothecary upgrade... very nice.
As for the others, you have some very good stuff going there, and I think I've discovered that problem that people seem to be having with them but are unable to communicate effectively... It is in the arm positioning.
When we walk, our oposite arm & leg move in unison. My left leg setps forward, my right arm swings, etc. Your posts have a lot of "same appendages" forward. Thre's something about that... it just seems to throw a miniature off balance. Try changing that around a bit. I think you'll like it more. As for the grenade thrower... He's good, just drop his left arm, as if he's focusing on throwing the grenade, not throwing the grenade AND shooting. You might want to swivel the body to the left, as well... make him lead more drastically with his left leg.
The guy with twin pistols (same pic as the Grenade thrower) is good as is... and the posing on the vet/apothecary is good, as well, as he is in a dramatic pose, and not an action pose.
Hope the insight helps.

Thanks for that Eric, I'll take that into consideration. I think of the unit more as stationary than running up the field so they are able to multitask. From what you've discribed, the ones I need to change are the 2 MkV guys and the grenadier as well as the padless MkVI. Is that correct? I also have a quick question for you all: How should I paint the helmets of the veterans? The Veteran Sergeant, since he's an Apothecary, will have a white helmet but I don't know how I should paint the regular vets, all blue perhaps. Lets see: Vet Serg: Red Helmet Vet Serg w/ Apothecary Upgrade: White Helmet Vet: Blue Helmet? What do you guys think? SoG
