Subject: Online-shop pricing?
|
 |
Stinky Spore

I was thinking of getting one of your armybags as well but I am a little confused about the pricing at your online-shop. So I would like you to make this one clear.
After clicking on "Battle Foam Army Bags" at the front page of the shop the price of the "P.A.C.K. 432 CUSTOM LOAD OUT" is listed as $150.00. Sounded quite nice to me.
Clicking on that item it says as "Price with shipping" $167.00 no matter to where it should be shipped (U.S., Canada, or elsewhere). I thought that 17 bucks for shipping to germany would be a good price, too.
On checkout I select "International" and theres an additional Shipping cost of $29.00! So the total of a "P.A.C.K. 432 CUSTOM LOAD OUT" with international shipping would be $196.00? That's whats confusing me.
What is actually correct?

Zagdakka - The reason for this additional charge is because of international shipping fees. Since we have no idea who will order and what part of the world they are from we can not have one set shipping fee. We have a standard fee that is totaled for you and then a message that any additional shipping charges will be added after check out when you put in your address. Since you are in Germany and we are in Arizona (US), the cart adds the additional cost to get the package to you. Its truly the simplest way we have found to charge to correct amount for shipping to all of our customers around the world.
Hope this clears things up a bit.
Thanks
Romeo

For some reason I ended up paying $3.00 more for my PACK432 with custom load out. I clicked on the PACK432 details right on your main page (Featured Product) - $150. I proceeded to check out with shipping to PA - +$28.00. Total = $178.00. I was browsing around the site and clicked on the "Battlefoam Army Bags" link in the left product column followed by clicking on the PACK432 custom load out and saw a price of "$167 with shipping included". Odd... I added this to my cart and went to check out. The site then required me to add an additional $8.00 for shipping to PA. Total = $175.00. That's a little misleading since the $167 was "with shipping" and also with the added $8.00 it still didn't come out to be the $178.00 that I paid. I don't care about the $3.00 to be honest with you, but the whole "$xyz with shipping" that's posted on everything should be removed to eliminate confusion and issues with different shipping rates depending on where one clicks to make their order.

Bunker - I'm sorry, I did not know we had not replied. Yes, we do make Monolith foam trays but only for Battle Foam bags. They do not fit in GW cases because of how big they are, and same goes for Sabol. If you do need to order one, just call us and we'll handle everything within minutes.
Oni - For some reason the system was adding up the wrong total for part of the shipping. I know our web guy was fixing that problem as of last night. It should be working no later then this afternoon. Your account has been credited with the $3.00 amount.
Cyporiean - Our very large bag order is arriving Friday of next week. Once that shipment arrives we will always be in stock with all of our products. Once we have them in our little hands, foam turn around will be 10-14 days on all custom orders.
Guys, if you ever feel that we are not replying to your emails or you need something answered right away, please call us. We will be more then happy to answer any questions or discuss a load out. We honestly get around 50 emails per day and they quickly add up. Right now as I look at my inbox I have 73 emails to read and reply from yesterday and last night. Ouch.
Talk to you guys soon.

So foam will be restocked this friday then? My order was for two non-custom trays (Troop and Valk BF trays) about three weeks ago.

Hello Guys,
Lets put a few dogs to rest. I know many of you have asked similar questions by email or by forum.
Q 1. Why don't you guys offer foam in 1/2 sizes like 1.5, 2.5, and so on?
A 1. The main reason we have stuck to full sizes is due to storage area. When I started this business 6 months ago we ran it out of my former business part time. I split room with my former wood bat company and both business did well under just 2000 Square Feet of room. Since then Battle Foam with everyones help has been an amazing success. I was forced to sell my other business to spend all my time on Battle Foam. We recently, (2 weeks ago) moved into a new 7500 Square Foot warehouse designed for Battle Foam. We now have larger offices, a showroom, and a massive warehouse that we can store bags and foam in outrages quantities.
Within the next 6 weeks many changes will take place. We have an awesome announcement to make for August 1st and we will be adding all kinds of new products. These new products will be 1/2 foam for Battle Foam sized trays. Yes, you will be able to get your 1.5, 2.5, and so on. Stay toned.
Q 2. Why does shipping cost so much and why is it so weird to figure out on the site?
A 2. First, I must say that we make 0 profit on shipping. I mean zero profit. We actually spend money on shipping because of the boxes and tape we use to send the bags and foam. Each and every red cent that you guys pay on shipping to your locations goes directly to paying the bill to the USPS or FedEx. Trust me when I tell you this, we are as pissed about it as you are. Imagine getting billed once per week for $2,000.00 worth of shipping charges to FedEx. Ya, I said $2,000.00 in shipping charges. That is what we paid just last week. So please understand that International shipping and even continental shipping in the US costs an arm and a leg these days. Also, our bags don't fold down like other bags so we pay a fortune for oversized package charges.
The site is a different beast all together. Since we have so many different products with their own shipping price because of size, it makes it very hard to set up on a shopping cart. Our web guy has done his best, but it still a pain at times and it may take some getting use too.
Q 3. Why are bags out of stock, and why does it take so long to get the foam? (up to 3 weeks sometime)
A 3. The reason bags have been out of stock is because we had such limited warehouse space until a few weeks ago. We would store all of our bags off site just to have room to function. Now that we are moved into the new warehouse bags have a place to call home. Starting next Friday bags will always be available to order. This brings us to the next part of the question. All of our foam is custom cut. Even if you get a standard tray we still cut it when you order. Think of us like the pizza guy. You don't call Pizza Hut and say send me one of your frozen pizzas out of the back. You order a standard cheese pizza and you still wait 45 minutes so they can make it. Our foam is the same way. Once your order is received your put into the system. Your ticket is then pulled and the foam is set aside. We cut foam 14 hours out of the day in two shifts. When our ticket comes up it gets cut and shipped the same day or the very next. The wait is because we are now running 10 to 14 days behind. That's not a bad thing, but it is life. We are happy to serve everyone so we just keep on trucking.
Each week we are adding new machines and new technology to speed up the process. We have 2 new machines coming in later next week that will knock out standard troop trays in seconds. That means that if your just ordering 72 troop trays or standard space marine troop trays they will ship within 24 hours.
Remember guys, we are gamers first and our show room will soon tell the tail. (video and pics soon to come) We are working our butts off to make Battle Foam your number one choice for bags and foam. We will never stop bringing you guys the best we can offer. We also will never lose touch with our customers. Our ear is wide open to your needs and we will always try and make you all happy.
As always, hope this helps.
Romeo

Oh no! I just ordered 2" foam last week cause I wanted 1&1/2" and the nice lady said you didn't have it. Oh well, I'll put it to good use for something. I was planning on buying a second 1520 anyways, I guess I'll wait until august (got to save up anyway).
I'm glad to see that business is doing well and expanding. If only you were around ten years ago, then I could have given you more of my money sooner. Well worth the wait though. Customer for life.

Hi Guys,
We may not make the Big Waaagh. We have GenCon, Bolscon, the Slaughter, and a bunch of other events coming up in the same time frame. Along with that we have production to worry about and our Indy GT in October. Our hands are totally full with shows, but we will still supply product support to most if not all events.
Next year should be a bit more organized for us and allow us to go and see most events.
Hope to see you all in the future.

I emailed Romeo a week or so ago and got a response but had more follow up questions than I thought I would so rather than waste his time I thought I'd ask you guys.
I'm looking for some advice from some guard players who've used the battle foam trays. I've been looking at the PACK 1520 with enough foam to switch out between Valk's and baneblades. I like to take everything with me when I play so even if I'm only playing 1000 point games I regularly have 3000+ points with me just in case I get the option to play in bigger games.
How do people fit the following: basilisks, other artillery pieces and ogryns?
I've had a rough eyeball at the models and was wondering if at a pinch would a chimera fit into a russ slot for the odd occasion I wanted to run a couple extra?
The trays I was looking at totaled 36 heavy weapon slots and I've had 12 heavy weapons in a 1000 point battle recently so with taking multiple options and a few sentinels will I have enough slots?
What trays are people using for rough riders?
Want to wait for the 1st August announcement before ordering but I want to have it as soon as possible to use. I hate decisions like these.

You could call them. I called out of curiosity of my order yesterday and they picked right up. Its not like they are some massive company that has an elaborate Exchange server that distributes certain emails to certain outsourced answer centers around the globe. Give em a ring and get your question asked there. Probably lot easier for both parties.
