''No that's an Irongut.''
''NO, that's a bull

He looks at me and walks away. No kidding here.

As a fellow Ogre player, that rather hurts.... I think that we have one of the easiest to distinguish armies in all of fantasy.. Everything is just so BIG that if you can't tell what weapon is what..

A while back, I was running my (now defunct) Tyranids against my buddy's BT.. On turn 1, My Zoanthrope shot his LR hiding in cover (he failed the cover save, so the shot hit). When I rolled for pen, It penned his 14, but he tried to explain that he had Blessed Hull (which he did not, he didnt have the points for it, nor did he include it in the first place)... Basically his logic was that ALL land raiders in a BT army have BH, no matter if he payed for the upgrade or not. The best part about it was, because I blew up the Raider, I then wounded most of the squad that BOTH Grimaldus AND Helbrecht were attached to. They then foot slogged about half way across the board, to meet my Tyrant who promptly Paroxysm'd them (repeatedly) and had a nice tasty snack.

Isn't that technically a legitimate question? Codex: demons aren't really known for their dakka. There are only 4 units I think that can actually fire in the shooting phase :

Soulgrinder
Horrors
Flamers
Lord of change

No, it is not a legitimate question. While it is true that people don't associate Daemons with being highly shooty, there are precisely zero (0) armies that are incapable of shooting. And that's besides the Heralds of Tzeentch that I thought everyone knew about.

A legitimate question may have been "9 Horrors have HOW MANY shots?!?"

Actually, on the topic of armies, specifically, I've gotten more than a few comments on the color of my Space Wolves army. I painted it with Vallejo colors, I forget which two, but it was basically a mixture of a bright blue and a dark blue. For a long while I got a lot of questions as to why my army is blue, and not gray. I don't know about any of you, but to me, the so-called "grey" color in the codex looks like a light shade of blue.

My IG tanks: painted shadow grey. What colour does everyone think they are? You guessed it.

My friend constantly whines about GK being OP. It would be fair enough (They are only slightly OP in my books, hyperbole is a bitch) if we weren't playing 1000 point games. GK are most certainly not OP in 1000 points, especially with my 150 point handicap in the form of Crowe.

I play BT pretty hardcore about them, and since their religeous fanatis this one guy told me that (well i cant really say it word for word bc it would be inapproiate ill sum it up) "BT are like catholic priests in that they like the youngins" i thought it was a little rediculous and cant stand whenever i see that guy in the store he says that to me :/ if i offended anyone by that comment i am throughly sorry it is what he said to me, and i think a few people will prolly get a kick out of it.
But from original poster yea i dont get why people think BT should be shooty dosent make since to me there a cc army and ill never play them differently.

Doesn't that only provide protection against activated force weapons, since they don't count as psychic until the squad takes the test?

Ignorant d-bags will be ignorant d-bags.

Personally, I would think it quite in character for a Templar player to be yelling 'God wills it!' every time they pass a rightous zeal test and surge forwards!

Nope, force toys are always force toys, weather or not you activate the instant kill ability or not, so any daemon w/blessings has a 2++ in combat vs every non-heavy weapon grey knight in power armour.
However, you can simply dark ex away all gifts on a squad, so it's not like it's an auto-win ability. (unlike the GK codex itself vs Daemons!)

I can't believe this conversation happened, but it did:

I'm playing with my blood red Blood Angels army that's red. Kid walks up. He's like 14 years old. I've seen him hanging around the LGS a few times. I think he has a few Eldar figures.

KID: Are those red? (points at my Blood Angels)

Me: Uh.... No. They're blue. (I hate children and I love sarcasm)

KID: Nuh uh.

Me: They look red to you? Holy crap. You must be color blind. (punches LGS regular in shoulder) Dude, aren't these space marines blue?

Dude: Yeah. They're blue.

The kid looked a little freaked out and he just sort of walked away. He might still think he's colorblind. I don't know.

Sadly not. I was playing a game against someone else at the time and he was just spectating.

I'd probably have doomed his terminators and then set a bunch of Howling Bashees on them. Or Starcannons, like you said.

2,000 pts tourney, a short time ago, Im running my Space Wolves with lots of Rhinos and GreyHunters, basically just walking my bolters shots down everybodies throat till my wolfguard get there to mop it all up, and this guy decides to walk up to me, and says this:

Him: Space Wolves? Nice. But I think you're playing them wrong.
Me: *not paying much attention, get my butt handed by a Blood Angels dreadnought*
Him: Dude, seriously, your totally playing them wrong.
Me: What? What are you talking about? *slightly peeved because Im in the middle of a time sensitive match*
Him: Yeah, you totally fethed this list dude. Your basically a Ultramarine with big teeth, so where the heck are your landraiders? At this points level you should have like 3 on the field.
Me: *looks down at field and silently wonders what the feth hes talking about*
Him: Now if you take a page from my army, you'll see that NOTHING can beat 3 landraiders on the field.

2 games later
Me: And thats how to kill 3 landraiders in one game.
Him: What the feth?!?!
Me: *packs up stuff and moves on*

That just sounds like you were mean to a colour blind child.

Anyway, I recently had someone question my sanity when I declared a charge:

"Really? Are you sure you want to do that?"

I was charging a tactical squad with my 42 man/ 6 power weapon platoon squad. He had obviously never fought aggressive Guard infantry before. Needless to say, that combat didn't last long.

Being colorblind I have cussed out and beat folks who take this joke to far. It is funny the first 50 times you hear them (so between the ages of 5-7) after that they just get old. Some dude heard I was colorblind asked me what color the grass was..... Needless to say he just needed to get his face closer to the grass and I sure helped him with that.

More recent one with my Minotaur Throgg army

Guy: Hey so where is your gors? And how did you fit this many minos in a list

Me: This is a Throgg army

Guy: But throgg is with trolls, minos can no be their own army

Me: They used to be and I played a all mino list years ago

Guy: Minotaurs were never core choices in any book.
