Infinity has the full palette of environments, I will agree in that, the thing is its a big excuse to play in a non destroyed sci fi urban terrain.

The issue with wanting a proper urban mat is almost nobody does it, with the exception of the mentioned Suzy mat, which is a destroyed city mat, while there is a plethora of mats for most of the other options.

I am still looking for the perfect city mat.

Have you checked out lasercutcard Facebook page?
His modular game table is interesting, for variety and customization.
I made one but am renovating so cannot get to it.

These are quite cool - new 'Compass Bar' base edges that fit the 'Made for Infinity' resin bases. Come in 25mm, 40, 55 and 60

Don't think there is any word on price yet.

Oh those are pretty sweet! Hmm, good job I haven't actually assembled my Ariadna force yet.. looks like I'm going to need some new bases *and* some of those.

Those are kind of neat. I doubt I'll use any with my clear acrylics, but if I were using conventional bases I'd probably be in line for a set.

That's a nifty idea! I will be interested if they're not too pricey.

Conventional bases are beveled. Those example models have strictly perpendicular sides. Those metal bands won't look good on the stock bases that come with the figures.

Are they intended to mark the model arc?

I believe so, yes.

No, I think it mentioned on the site they are designed to go with the 'Designed for Infinity' ones they sell on the site - possibly the MAS ones also?

True, and I admit that I own some of those MAS bases, but I and many others also own more traditional beveled bases as well. It's becoming even more of a niche market when Anthenociti's Workshop has products Designed for Designed for Infinity (MAS).

Even so, I'm holding some ruined street bases in my hand right now and not only do they also have beveled bases, but there's tons of junk protruding out from the side that would block these front-arc strips.

They're a wonderful idea, but they seem incompatible with most things.

EDIT: You know, I just realized that AW's "Designed for Infinity" bases are different than MAS's "Designed for Infinity" bases. That may lead to even more confusion when AW's "Designed for Designed for Infinity" strips are compatible with AW's "Designed for Infinity" bases but not MAS's "Designed for Infinity" bases.

They do look quite nice. It is a good idea. Are they pre-shaped/bent or will you have to shape them, like you do with the metal strips on dust masks?

etched brass is generally supplied on sheet (and in any case is much too fragile to withstand being shipped bent, IMO) so I'd say you'd have to bend it yourself.
Luckily, you'll have just the tool to bend it with right to hand (the base)!

also, I'm pretty sure these will work okay with the sedition wars bases some of us are using (me included!) which makes me a happy camper. Might have to trim them down a mm (they're pretty thick) but that's what precision belt sanders are for
Also, dremeling a bevel *off* of a base is relatively easy so I might be doing the 40's as well (or just trim off the bevel on the front half - that might look cool!)

@grimdork I'm guessing they'll look awesome on clear acrylics more than anywhere else, really! (just use canopy glue or PVA glue to fix them on )

If you are willing to get it printed out at a print shop, you could always try this one: http://www.toposolitario.com/workshop/tableros.html

He has a bunch of self-made Infinity papercraft stuff, including this map, of which more than one can be added together. I especially love his vehicles, I have made several for my games of AT-43 as iut has the same non-Gothic futuristic feel.

Are you following them on LifeInvader Absolutionis? Might be worthwhile asking them that question!

I've got a bunch of the 'raised' MAS bases - if these fit the Antenociti ones, I would probably guess they would fit the larger surface area of the MAS ones (as the diameter of the base will still be 25mm).

Ah, here we go they are now up on their webstore, £5 for 10 of the 25mm ones:

http://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/compass-bars-for-25mm-aw-bases.html

Etch-Brass 'Compass Bars' for 25mm round AW bases.

The Compass Bar marks the way that the base/figure is facing as well as its 180 degree front arc.

It is particularly useful on figures where the stance or weapon means that your figure cannot face the way that you want it to be facing and be touching scenery to get the cover bonus. It also prevents arguments over which way a figure is facing or precisely where its 180 degree front arc is.

The bars are accurate to within 0.1mm and denote the full front arc to the edge of the brass - anything behind that brass is behind the front 180degree arc.

The 'Compass Bar' strips only fit vertically sided bases like our own Designed for Infinity bases.

They will not work with bases that have sloped sides.

I love that the remote on that box is illegal.

It's a Total Reaction Sierra Drone... with a Guided Missile!

Fun, because I built mine the same way. Looks way cooler, and not that anybody cares on the bits you choose to put on with Infinity models.

What I find even more confusing is that Both MAS and Antenocitis both put out 'Hex Street' bases, which look virtually identical. But are not

Hexagons are futuristic!

I agree that the bases are easily confused between the two companies. Regardless, it's rather welcome because I can buy from both and everything can still seem unified.

Interesting! Antenociti now have an FB page called 'Forward Base Kickstarter', so it seems that is going to be the name for it

First look at a forklift

There is some really cool looking artwork/imagery on their page actually, well worth a look.

Either british 25cent coins are much larger than US quarters or that's a 15mm forklift being shown. Possibly for the G.O.T. line? Or maybe just an existing render being repurposed to 28mm, a lot of vehicle were done in both scales

Some rough renders of the Topos papercraft vehicles were posted over on Wargame News and Terrain earlier as well, this time with an Infinity figure mocked up next to them

Not sure if serious.... but the UK doesn't have cents but pence, and there isn't a 25 coin anyway (closest is 20p, but that's not circular).

The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Well no, but the pick does show a representation of a 25c coin. I thought it was odd two, for both sizing and currency reasons.
