Not sure about some of the poses but in general these look good.
Are they normal BA scale so a bit small to go with my Valhalan 40k soldiers? Anyone seen any comp shots with non BA models?

I have not looked in on this thread for a while, but this is more like what I was looking to see. Those starter boxes with their 80% reboxed historical miniatures really didn't impress me much. Now, with the release of vampires, werewolves and retro-power armor infantry and things are starting to look more interesting.

I very much agree. I don't know that K47 will ever be "free of" historical miniatures but they have my attention with these Soviet Super Women.

For me at least it wouldn't be about being "free of" them, but the fact that I've already got tons of proper historicals, so some differently-aimed starters could do well for the many people who already own/play BA who are interested in making the jump across.

Quite a good point, I had pre-ordered the US and Germany starter sets but canceled them. The main reason was disappointment that K47 was based on BA1E. But I was also not keen on the idea of getting a bunch more WLG WW2 plastic infantry, even if some of them (the Panzergrenadiers) are actually quite good. I have a ton of them already. So I have decided to just buy from this line what I like and we'll see whether I play K47 PUG-style or maybe use the figs for something else or design scenarios using K47 rules.
