So, with the rumoured changes to 8th edition which Chaos power is likely to have an edge (assuming you play a mono-god list)? Tzeentch would appear to have been hit hardest thanks to the unpredictable nature of magic and more opportunities for dispels, whilst Slaanesh could be a big winner as their high Initiative should mean opponents who get the charge will still have to suffer plenty of attacks. Of course, the devil will be in the detail but who do you think will benefit most from the changes?

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme? |

Not sure about 5th edition, but in 8th edition, I'm guessing Slaanesh will have an edge because of the higher initiative.

I'm thinking Khorne, as frenzy is getting safety nets in the form of leadership tests to avoid baiting and the ability to redirect charges.
If the Tzeentch ward save increases the new parry save to 5+, then Tz marauder blocks (or hordes, maybe) could become popular.

It does. The parry rule says 6+ Ward, not special save or anything else.

for WoC I see MoT getting a buff for stuff like marauder block and warriors facing lower WS enemies. Magic might be seeing a nerf though.
Nurgle really isnt changing, it is a good mark but better suited for stuff like knights.
Khorne is getting a buff imo with the high Ld of WoC and the ability to prevent baiting.
MoS I dunno, doesnt change the In of warriors. Prob still stay the same cheap psych proff it is.

With Terror and fear not being charge preventers/unit destroyers (Plus with BSB rerolls) Slaanesh is losing it's luster. Tzeentch seems the way to go. You can get 4 level 1 casters in a 2250 army...Flickering fire spam.
If you have the lord caster instead, Tzeentch has the best Anti-magic of any army with pandemonium. (Combine with Puppet).
With how devestating miscasts are now, Puppet plus black tongue might be very useful now.
Add in the +1 to ward saves for the parry bonus, and I see Tzeentch warriors being the best.
The biggest problem with Warriors used to be lack of shooting made them struggle against avoidance armies. Now with the larger charge ranges and easy redirects, Warriors are getting a leg up. I can see spamming units of 10 Tzeentch warriors. They are good against elites and can chew through hordes. The trick is getting enough that the enemy can't get another unit to smack into your side.
