I tried quoting and making the quote a link to the post I'm quoting by making it the description of the link, but it's not working.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong with the tags, but I've done it before.

I guess the forum software doesn't know how to make a quote box into a link. It's most likely just limited to text and pictures.

If I recall correctly, nested quotes dont link. There is a range of text characters that will prevent a link from being created for security reasons, and it is also possible that one or more of them is present in the quote.

Just put your url tag inside each quote and that should work.
