I'm using these:

Going to be doing a snow themes base, and was trying to figure out how to put ice/slush onto the base.

I may just end up copying these, but I love me some space wolves in snow.

Any ideas?

I'll also be basing my space wolves on a snowy base. Generally the techniques I've seen involve white glue and baking soda for a snowy look. I saw one where someone added some drywall compound to the mix for more depth to the snow. I cant recall where I saw it but a google search for 40k Snow Basing should pop it up.

As for slush, I tried an experiment a whole back with white glue and blue paint to make water. When I mixed a bit of blue paint into the glue, and let it dry in thinner coats, I'd end up with a translucent blue when it dried. If you did that with a grey paint or white and then added some baking soda patches, you might end up with a slushy snow mix.
