Hey,
For example if a 5 man terminator squad with TH/SS were hit and wounded by 4 bolter shots and 2 plasma gun shots. Could i give four of them all the bolter shots and one of them the plasma to reduce casualtys?

It is irrelevant, as they are all of the same type: none of them is different by the weaponry they carry or their statistics.
You'll take all the saves together, and then remove the the total you failed.

It doesn't matter in this case since they are all the same. You lose one for ever save you fail, plasma or bolter.
Now, if it had been 4 TH/ SS and 1 LC termie, you could put both plasma on the LC Termie.

You are forced to spread wounds across individual models, but when you roll saves you roll them for all models equipped the same. Simple example:
2x Bolter shots, 2x plasma on 2 tacticals and a sarge
You put 2 plasma on one tactical, 1 bolter on the other tactical and one bolter on the sarge.
The Tacticals take 2 wounds from the plasma and you therefore must remove both 'plain' tacticals. The sarge takes his 3+ save as normal.

First of all, what on earth are you doing failing a 2+ armour save.
Second. have you even taken an armour save??
If you manage to fail all your armour saves...
it really doesn't matter. all your Terminators are DEAD TO BOLTER FIRE
OH DEAR
In reality what will probably happen is you have 7 wounds to save.
you'll save at least 5 of them.
Strangely enough i'm just looking through my 5th Edition Codex:Space Marines......
there's no 5+ Invulnerable Save for terminators any more....

Terminator armour, wargear section.
Also you will notice some of them are plasma gun wounds - you know, the ones that ignore your armour?

They don't rock quite so much when you realise they also have a 3++ save.
What, you don't think people actually take LC termies?

Well thats' true......you just have to pray they're LC Terminators!
Then again, if they pass their Inv Saves.....your squad is dead.
