Subject: 8th edition, Mark of Nurgle & Fear tests?

I was just wondering if you get to make attacks if you have a weapon skill of 0 in 8th edition.
With the Mark of Nurgle, and a Failed Fear test in 8th edition, you end up with a WS of 0?
I am assuming that this will get clarified soon, if its not already mentioned in the book.

I'm assuming you're referencing Chaos Knights? Does not the Mark of Nurgle specify a minimum WS of 1?

No, the mark of nurgle simply says -1 weapon skill when in base contact with the bearer. So yes if you are in base contact with a mark of nurgle chaos knight (and fail your fear test), you have ws 0. Hopefully this will be addressed in the errata.

Hello, this has already been addressed in the Chaos F.A.Q. MoN reduces to a minimum of 1. Although I'm sure 0 WS would hit on a 5+ too

you need to read the faq again it makes no mention of a minimum.
"ERRATA
Page 110 – The Mark of Nurgle
Change the second paragraph to “A model with the Mark of
Nurgle is difficult to target. Ranged attacks that target him are
at -1 To Hit. Models that target him in close combat are at -1
WS.”"
per the rules of stat of 0 p4? a model with a 0 stat has no ability with that stat at all so can not attack, but because its only when targeted they defend at ws 1.

It used to say it. They removed it - people were citing to the old FAQ. Pay attention to the dates people posted!
