I'm having difficulty finding good articles/guides to highlighting.

I have been working on my space marine Sangfroid chapter for a year now, and it is my first army. I'm at the stage now for the whole army for doing final highlights on the trim/details. The plan is to get the final highlights done, then a light black wash to finish the models off.

Short description: The power armor is a work of drybrushing. Black undercoat with white undercoat "sprinkled" on the tops of the models. Heavy watered down necron abyss base, drybrushed ice blue and space wolf grey. The trim and detail are red gore then first layer highlights with 50-50 mix blood red/ red gore. Metallics are boltgun metal highlighted with mithril.

I'm not entirely happy with the red yet, and I feel another layer of highlighting is in order. However, I can't figure out where to put the final highlights! On the couple models I've tried, it looks like I've done too much. I'm especially having issues with highlighting the red on the vehicles.

Please help! I need a guide to highlighting I think so I have some ideas on where to go.

It really depends on what style of highlighting you want to go after. Line highlighting or blended highlights or a drybrushed highlight.

As mentioned we really need a photo of were you are at to be able to better help you finish your models off.
