New books will be published in the usual way, but AFAIK there will be .pdf files available for download in GW site. I guess this files would include an adaptation of the previous version rules to the new one, the necessary changes for the army lists and errata.

This way you would need the army book of your choice and the pdf file.

I certainly know that this is going to be done in Spain, because of the change from centímetres to inches, but I don't know for sure if pdf files will be published for other languages. Having big changes like the army list organization my guess is that they will. I know also that in Spain some army books that are not going to be renewed in a short term are going to be reprinted with this changes with the release of the new edition. But this reprint is only for Spain.

Long story short (IIRC):
- No new printed books (apart from Spain).
- Pdf files to be used with the old books.

GW has stated explicitely that all army books will stay legal and usable. Just download the pdf-errata with extra information on the day the new edition is released.

So, if it's like the last couple40k releases, they'll be usable, but there might be some weirdness if the errata documents aren't to comprehensive. Basically, they'll work, but they may not work particularly well.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
