Hi all.

I'm hoping for a bit of help. I'm just about to start my next project and need a bit of help with research. Please post any pictures you have of dark angels, either artwork/illustrations or models which you consider to be either modelled and/or painted to a high standard.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

I liked the changes I made to standard, no red weapons (make sure to look towards the end) and brass metal touches. I really like them much better when they are dark, no pun intended, so things like black weapons, and all marking being black with red outlines really changed the feel for me.

Hope that helps -

i'd suggest looking in dakka's gallery (click the tab under the website logo) and choose browse the gallery. you can search under the tags dark angels (and angles since people misspell alot) and have the search display the results from best rated painted to worst. you can also do the same thing @ coolminiornot.com. since opinions can vary significantly as to what is cool or well painted, going there first might be a good start.

Thanks for your help everyone! Already some great inspiration. Will check out galleries.

@Hamhamlunchbox - that first link's a great find, love the more realistic colour to it, have beenwondering what would look good and more 'dark' as Major Tom puts it rather than a dark green.

@Warboss - thanks - I've not really used the gallery much yet, great tips there

@MajorTom11 - they're superb! there's some nice little touches, hope you don't mind if i steal a few, like the black gloves in the EC in particular. Will be considering those!

@darkangelsrk - had already looked at awesome paintjob but thanks anyway, hopeflly it will help others to:

If anyone can either post or direct to some background artwork sketchs that would be good too!
