That's because common misspelling (often intentional): t e h is replaced with 'the' via the software. Punctuation, like dashes ( - ) are ignored so when you wrote it like that it simply corrected the spelling for you.
While it may occasionally ruin a good joke, the amount of times this system catches actual misspellings of 'the' is well worth it, IMHO.
Sorry if I wasn't clear, Yak. I wasn't complaining about it being swapped(I appreciate that most of the time, actually, this I time I simply forgot it did it), I was noticing it removing the spacing between words(which I'd noticed before and hadn't pointed our earlier). I was simply explaining what I did all told for Lego.
