I've got a small group of Dark Heresy beginners going, we've all rolled up character sheets, but we need a GM for our games.

Would anyone with experience and patience be interested? Games would be run in a manner of your choice, but as fighting is difficult to do narratively, a suitable system would need to be devised (or just done narratively).

I was thinking making a thread on Dakka for it, but that would mean it would be narrative only and we might have problems with turns and the like. I was going to suggest Vassal 40k for visual battles, but its been taken down and I can't find it anywhere... :(

IRC. Join your local IRC network, grab a channel. Someone grabs a dice roller that runs through IRC, everyone grabs a mapping program.

Worked for us.

Just a quick post to say that we have everything worked out now, using Skype as well, and the group is 8/9 players big (one isn't available atm) so more players would crowd things up, at least until we've split the group. Tbh I didn't expect this thread to still be alive and had unsubsribed from it.

Our system works fine for us, but I will be checking out that IRC thing, thanks for that Brunius.

Just checked out the IRC thing, and I would say skype seems like it does exactly the same things, bar some of the more advanced commands. I don't think we'll be using it but thanks for the pointer.
