That's the normal Vortex rules. And it's what the Deathstrike should have always been since the beginning - an Apoc-only unit firing Titan-scale missiles.

It did make me go ZOMGWTFBBQ. Seems like they're really trying to push the new sales of the model. I gotta say though, next apoc game I play is going to make me actually break out my old scratchbuild.
The rules were on BOLS ages before GW. It annoys me how you have to have the tank on the table. Deathstrike missiles are meant to be ICBMs right?

Yep. But let's be fair, even with these awesome rules, it's not even close to the power of an IRL ICBM. Sure, it'll probably do more damage than a RL counterpart against single, well-protected foes with void shields, but imagine the boom if they made it a thermonuclear missile <3.
Speaking 'bout that, is there any rules for nuclear weapons or weapons utilizing nuclear fission/fusion to create big booms?

thats just absurd, literally the most stressful diceroll of your life would be over who gets the first turn. because there'll be no more turns afterwards.

There IS the OH SH** THE TITAN'S REACTOR WENT NUCLEAR!!!! result, everyone within 8 D6" takes a str D hit. Then you add in the 24" or so base of the thing and you have at a maximum, a mind meltingly huge 120" blast template. At strength D! Ten inch blast, meet ten feet!
6000 points IG, Leviathins 8th company, (store regiment) 60% painted 4500 points Empire 80-90% painted!
2500 Ogres 2% painted
WIP Biker Battle Company 95% painted
2500 Points Isstavan Drop site massacre Iron Hands (still waiting for dat codex) I managed to play a 1750 point game with minimal proxieing on the first day DE came out. go me!
The Gutterballers, a relatively successfull BloodBowl team
Oh, and Howard's Faildar
What the new Grey Knight codex resurrect the Vortex psychic power from Dark Millenium. That would be awesome.

So really, the rules should read: redeploy all your models and start a new game, because this one is done.

no, the Titaic nuke. it is strength "D" it would be interesting to play a game in a gigantic crater, where every model takes a str D hit at the begining of the game, and play it as a post nuclear impact game. you could nominate a number of units to be in a bunker before the game starts, and get a 3+cover save from the blast. The safest place to be would obviously be a transport, which may or may not protect the occupants indiana jones-refrigerator style.

That is the most awesome piece of "movie magic" anywhere, surviving a nuke in a fridge. The game ideas awesome as well.
