In all seriousness, remember it is vitally important that your weiner commanding officer maintain a body weight appropriate to size and age. As you know wonder weinies often have back problems but this can be ameliorated by keeping their weight down. Start now and follow the vet's advice.

wise words. I am pretty familiar with dachshunds and their needs. He has little wiener stairs for the couch and bed, and my apartment has elevators. My parents have had wieners my whole life (yeah it sounds funny). I am glad I have a fellow daschund fan on here. They are the best dogs...so smart.

TBone supplements his diet with insect sushi. he crunches them like popcorn.
Shanker has a tendency to try to eat dead birds-the more mummified the better. I had to pry a bird mummy out of his jaws (opening with fingers while hoding onto a desiccated leg-ichy!!!) and then go weiner fly fishing when he tried tyo go for it a second time.

hah! thats funny...my parent's wiener always eats spiders...he bats it with his paw, then rolls around in it, then kind of waits and looks confused as to why its not moving anymore...then he eats it...
my old wiener I would feed skeeter eaters to...at least that is what I called them, they were big huge long legged flying mosquito things..... not may flies I don't think...

My grandparents used to have a Beagle called Abdul that used to eat christmas beatles, and not just a few, like hundreds of em. I don't know what they are called in USA but over here they're called xmas beatles because they only come out around xmas. Small and well, beatle like, regardless, Abdul used to eat so many of them that he'd run around and you could hear them scrunching around in his belly!

Yes, their insect mucnhie of choise is a type of slying beetle type bug. I think its canine M&Ms. Shanker tries (he can actually see them) but something about them bugs him and he can't complete, wherein TBone swoops in and has a treat, often pissing of Shanker. You snooze you looze pal!
Rusty Tiger takes great delight in hunting mosquitoes and flies. For a tank of an old dog he's remarkably gifted in that area, which is a good thing.

Well Shanker did have a tendency early on to use a kitchen chair to getonto the table, counter, halwall or wherevr it was nearby until we learned to keep the chairs fully under the table. The boy had to relearn this lesson recently when he went to get a glass and his fries on the table suddenly disappeared...

my parent's dachshund Vito climbs on everything, he needs to be the highest he can wherever he is....one of his favorite spots is on the arm of the big chair in their livingroom...
