Anyone going?

This will be my 7th GenCon. I'm taking a break from costuming this year so I can just walk around the dealers room and enjoy more demo games.

I'll be going to 2 events.

First Steps to Advanced Painting (4 hour class)
Battlefield Terrain Workshop 2 hour class (The woodland scenics people).

I'll be there working all five days running demos. We're looking forward to it, but not the drive there and back (~15hrs each way)

Wow. I assume that you are bringing a lot of gear for your demos, otherwise, why not fly?

Oh I imagine I'll be there this year as well.

yeah, gotta bring our displays, tables, and stock.

I'm considering it. I'll be going to school about an hour away, so the trip is considerably shorter than it would be otherwise.

It's worth the trip, even if just for one day. Thursday is usually the lightest day.

There will be 9 of us coming up from Houston.

I'm assuming it's cheaper to lug it all up there than ship it like the big names do.
