I use the ability:

[Murderous Hurricane]
Psychic shooting attack. An enemy unit within 18" of the Rune Priest takes 3D6 Strength 3 hits with AP - . Next turn that unit treats all terrain as both difficult and dangerous.

Can this effect vehicles? Obviously, it will do zero damage to any vehicle but the secondary effects could prove effective. I just want to be sure, thanks!

FYI all those Jump Infantry *cough* Blood Angels *cough* that choose to move as infantry to dodge [Tempest's Wrath] be aware that [Murderous Hurricane] is just going to do the same thing when you begin to get closer =P

I'm both instinctive and emotional. I value my own instincts and desires, and either ignore or crush anything that stands in my way; planning and foresight are unnecessary. At best, I'm determined and fierce; at worst, I'm headstrong and infantile.

Checklist to determine...

Is the vehicle a unit? Yep!

This works on vehicles then, unless otherwise stated.

Yeah, I se no reason for it to not affect vehicles.

And it's a pretty effective power, too. Not only do the shots automatically hit, but it has the potential to really slow enemies down, especially if they lack assault grenades.

Yes it does affect vehicles.

Is this a problem in your gaming circle? Tempest Wrath does not care what you may move as, only what your unit type happens to be. Jump Infantry moving as Infantry are still unit type Jump Infantry.

Personally, whether or not it makes the psychic ability less valuable or not... IMO Tempest's Wrath should have no effect on Jump Infantry if they choose to move as Infantry (RAI in my eyes)... because obviously Russ has put the fear in their eyes enough to they are afraid to take to the air =P...

Do some of you other Space Wolf players consider this a "fair" observation, or am I being too nice?

You are actually being un-nice, because you are changing the rules for no reason when the rules are 110% clear.

I'd say it's a fair house rule if you feel like it is. RAW is clearly against it, but you can do what you like.

If you where to attempt to the best of your ability to throw this into a live simulation, what exactly do you think the ability [Tempest's Wrath] does? I view it as anything not on the ground while the ability is active would be treated as the ability states... Like strong gale forces thrashing about as the very weather begins to change the closer you trudge onward toward the famed psykers of the Space Wolves.

The more realism I try to visualize in a match, the more it comes to life in my eyes... granted so far this situation has never happened to me personally yet, but seems logical enough.

He's not changing the rules for 'no reason'... If you go by the interpretation that JI moving as Infantry are affected by the Tempest, he's changing the rules to something that he feels makes more sense. Which he's perfectly entitled to do.

If you go by the interpretation that a rule that applies to moving JI does not apply when they are moving as infantry, he doesn't have a problem.
