GW brought the ip hammer down on vassal 40k a long time ago the only way to get it now is from someone that already has it i think but there may be a website out there that has it but it will probably require some digging.

Jesus, I download everything I should need. Vassal, the 40k module, an unpacker for the damn 40k module rar file, and it refuses to work. It absolutely will not import/open the 40k module, no matter what circumstances.

where did you download it at i can find you a link if you want.

Import Module...

Don't know if that's the problem... (which quite frankly is unlikely)

I don't know what you're doing wrong.

There are probably manuals and what not on lexicanum or whatever.

You dont have to extract it, that prob. the failure.

How do I remove the deployment zones and where's the range tool?

you can move deploiment zones with shift+mouse

download winrar if you dont have it. Get the free trial, its exactly the same as the full version, it just asks you to buy it once every time you open it.

Winrar should fix your unzipping / extracting problems.

Glad to see others use this too, doesn't seem to be too many people on vassal these days though :( There should be a sticky thread for vassal pick up games.

Found it downloaded it, stared blankly at it trying to grasp the process ... fail

To make it easier....

Try www.vassal40k.info

It's super easy to use once you get module loaded, which is as hard as going - import module (browse for the folder you put the module in when you dl'd) and hit OK. From there just open up an offline game and fiddle around. Bit of a learning curve but really isn't too bad.

I still can't figure out how to draw LOS.

Also, the large blast template is the wrong size.
