Hey guys, i'm trying to find a place to buy or someone can make feather. I'm converting a SM Army with American Indian theme. I've tried before to use just paper to make feathers. (Did'nt work well.) And i'm not very good with green stuff. Any advise or help? Thanks ahead of time.
There not too hard to make from green stuff . just make the basic shape and then when its set get aknife and score into the sides to give you the texture .
Also the reason why the metal ones are so thick on GW models is that they do 1 side first, let it dry, flip it over & add more GS to do the other side.
Check out my gallery here Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
I took alook at the Empire models. The big plumes don't really worrk for Indians, imo. I'll try thr GS method. It's the thickness of the feathers i had an issue with before. But i'll trial and error it some more. I need to make so many. It's gets duanting after awhile.
Just a thanks and an update. The Empire feathers worked out great. The ones on the spure not attached to anything. If i was any good at pics i'd post the conversions. Thier simple but worked out great. I also used some banners fron the WHP Ogre spures for my Khan conversion and the Vet sgts.
