I wasn't happy with my Imperial Fist army, it was painted golden yellow and suffered a lot chips some right down to the plastic! Ok this is partly my fault as I didn't varnish them but that paint is a nightmare to work with. Also I like darker armies better, so I decided to repaint all of them in the foundation yellow and paint the bases this time too!

This is the army previously:

I brought a Librarian on ebay who was actually a user on here. I cannot claim the paint job as I didn't do all of it; I just painted the armour to yellow from blue. The Sternguard is just a test model with battle damage; I think I'll paint all my Fists with a war torn look. Shame the pics on this didn't turn out well :( . Lastly is a Land Speeder I recently did, though unfortunately I forgot to dry brush the end of the multi melta and heavy flamer black and then brown wash to make a burnt look - I'll go over it soon.

Here's the start:

Yellow is the colour of courage! (when painting)

I salute you repainting efforts.

The army already looks impressive when arrayed for war.

Many thanks mate! The pic is from sometime ago but they've picked up paint damage and decal damage.

Long time no update, here's a Predator I've been working on. Doubt I'll be working on the Fists for a few months now as finishing off my Tyranid army and then minor bits and pieces on others.

Love the yellow you have going there its very similar to the yellow I've started getting on my fists, a bit darker and grittier is always good. Only thing I'm not sure about is the large areas of black on the predator just makes it look a bit too blocky to me other wise looks great. Is the chipping just the normal process of black blotches with blot gun metal over that ? I't some thing i want to work on to my LR's but never tried it before i don't want to ruin my yellow

Hey mate, the yellow I'm using is the foundation one and then washed with gryphonne sepia - you using those colours?

The black breaks it up and can't make a blocky thing look more blocky lol.

Chipping is flicks of chaos black and then mithril silver over. Works great and looks great.
