This came up in a game this weekend, and I can't seem to find the rules for a "melta blast" in the IG codex.

So, obviously its a "blast" weapon, so it uses a scatter, but what about pen rules? Its max range is 24", do you need to be at 12" to get 2d6 for pen? Does the center hole of the blast marker need to be on the hull, if it isn't, is it str4?

We basically said it was pretty much a multi-melta with a blast template. I would assume it has different rules than that, but I am not sure. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Having never heard the band GWAR!, am I the only person who thinks of a gigantic mountain troll when I hear the name? I honestly think of gwar the poster as a 9' tall 700lbs half man- half beast monstrosity sitting at his keyboard typing out eloquent rules arguments.

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.

eh, the band GWar is all about mountain trolls as well. Well mountain trolls, human slaves, and Crack.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Chumley, Tananda's brother?

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell
