So, it's bad enough listening to everyone talk on and on about LeBron James and where will he go. Now, ESPN is going to have a special for him to announce it? I will give the guy credit, all the money from that goes to Boys and Girls Club. I'll be surprised if he doesn't stay in Cleveland.

They are saying Miami...I hope not since I'm an Orlando fan. Miami allready got shaq and one a championship with him before orlando..that stung pretty hard.

Miami's cap situation is pretty daunting if they sign James. Even if they wave all their other free agents you still have Wade, James, and Bosh taking big pay cuts in order to fill out the team.

The ringless King is taking this whole Free Agency media spectacle to new heights but this is the world of twitter and it is the most historic NBA free agency...ever. Also I'd rather watch this breaking news, one hour special where the money goes to charity than just another hour of sportscenter or some crap about baseball or worse yet...the World Cup
Seems like all signs point towards Miami. If the Big 3 take paycuts then they'll rule the NBA barring significant injuries. It won't be without its growing pains but thats an ungodly amount of talent and they've got experience working together from TEAM USA. There was even a story or two out there that reported that the Big 3 and Chris Paul were planning on forming a NBA Dream Team when they could back when they were all on the Olympics squad.
If he wants to have numerous championships to his legacy, the King needs to get out of Cleveland especially after gambling on an ancient Antawn Jamison/Shaq, firing the head coach, GM quitting, and with all other teams in the East getting better.

I doubt he'll stay in Cleveland, even going to Knicks makes more sense considering next year's FA group.
Still, I would give him credit for staying. Not for loyalty, but for basically staging a giant PR fiasco in order to raise money for a charity.

He is going to Miami to join the new Dream Team, and my hopes as a Knicks fan have officially been dashed.

Chicago would have been the best choice, IMO. They have the best supporting cast for Lebron.
He did go to Miami, however, and I expect them to make it to the finals this year, and then lose.

I'm not sure where Miami is going acquire the rest of their team; especially since they are now in desperate need of a point guard.

Do you all realize that the Miami team will be 3 superstars and the rest of the team will be paid the minimum 1mil per year?
That team is going to suck, at least for next year anyway.

What I wanna know is how Chris freakin' Bosh is suddenly considered to be on the level of the other two guys. Good player, but not on Wade's level and obviously not on James' level.
Lost most of my respect for James in this. A primetime special is egotistical beyond belief. But then rubbing your hometown's face in it is astonishingly classless.
I have no love for Cleveland, but I hope the dude never wins an championship. And actually, now I'm not sure he really wanted to or ever will. Chicago was the move if you really wanted to win one, IMO.

It will certainly bring new spark into the Magic/Heat rivalry which has been kind of stagnant since the teams haven't been good "at the same time" since Shaq and Morning played there in the mid 90's.
I think this has negativly tainted James legacy. Not that he cares. The owner is accusing him of "quitting" during the playoffs, it's rumored that his teammate was shagging his mom and they are burning his jersey in Cleveland.
Lebron James...the new Art Model. Never thought I would mention those two names in the same breath.
I think he had every right to leave Cleveland BTW, just not a big fan of the way in which he dissed Cleveland in the process.
It's just going to make the Magic/Heat games that much sweeter when the Magic beat them.

They do have the awe-inspiring Mario Chalmers on their roster . But I don't think they are in desperate need for a PG, imo they only need one for defensive and floor spacing purposes. They have playmaking more than taken care of with LeBron and Wade; and Wade/Chalmers might be enough to guard against most backcourts. Pat Riley's adding more to his legendary career and more has yet to come - they're already in talks with grabbing Mike Miller (to help their floor spacing) and Miami has now become the primetime destination for vets looking to win a ring. If they can convince three of the best NBA players to take less money for the team I think they can sell that idea to quality roleplayers. They do need a center with some size though and the market's pretty slim for that. Riley's a master at being a suit....its still crazy that they got away with such a jackpot.

I disagree; by sacrificing max money, individual stats, individual legacy, and leaving his home - he's saying all he wants to do is win. People criticize athletes for not being team players so I think thats worthy of respect.
Imo the Miami Thrice team is also superior team from a talent/fit standpoint and for winning championships. Chicago have the same weaknesses that Miami does in that they can't space the floor and would have two heavy ball usage players with Rose and LeBron; while offering less talent. Wade is also a much better closer and go-to guy than what any of the other LeBron Sweepstakes teams could offer.

Dwight Howard's going to be lucky if he can even stay on the court for more than 25 minutes with all the elite slashing that Wade and LeBron are going to do. He's going to pick up fouls like crazy

Hmm....I think we need some people from over the pond to give some thought into this. I bet there are some football stars who stabbed their former teams for others. Just nothing like this has ever been done on this level before.
