Having just finished chewing through the rumours about the Tomb Kings. I thought I would open a thread about the possibility of the return of Arkhan the Black. The fact that he has a big ol' tower in the middle of the Lands of the Dead, south of Khemri and that there is a rumour of a "Nagash follower" in the upcoming Tomb Kings book. How awesome will that be!!! I'm personally psyched about the possibility of him coming back and the fact that I could never decide between Tomb Kings and Vampire Counts (really wish it wasn't called that but cannot for the life of me think of a better name other than UNDEAD), with the chance of new skeletons and stuff like that means I could have two armies for the price of one (but not be able to use them at the same time obviously) ((I'm writing this at the end of a long day and my brain isn't in charge of what I'm really typing))
So DISCUSS and NO STUPID WHINNY STUFF because I hate and find it pointless.. I'll probably remove stuff like that, and stuff I don't agree with. Or at least try and fail horribly. That kind of thing......
ENJOY!!!!!

You will remove things that you don't agree with? I don't think you understand how forums work. You don't get to control at all what other people post.
A Nagash follower would be cool. I always figured it would be VC, but then again rumors were they they were going to add another bloodline last book, and I don't remember reading anything about that happening.

I'd like to see Nagash himself come back really, just as an uber-character, but I'll settle with Arkhan the Black really.

I kind of doubt that either of them would show up in the TK book specifically. They are enemies of the tomb kings. I think its possible that its just something someone said in a thread and got repeated, and then blown out of proportion to full rumour status. As phe4r said, it seems more likely that they would be in the Vampire Counts book.

The problem with Nagash in the Vampire Counts book is that the book main emphasis is on the Vampires and their blood lines/ vampiric powers. Yes the Tomb Kings hate Nagash but he fits there more then Vampire Counts. However, Arkhan the Black works really well with the Tomb Kings because he controls a mainly Khemri army. In the old Undead book he led an army that raised most of Araby and helped in fighting Settra and the rest of the Tomb Kings before being forced back with Nagash to Nagashizzar. He is also the only follower of Nagash to be honoured by the Priest Kings of Khemri when they originally fought the Usurper, which supports why he would be able to run around in the desert with an army of skeletons from the region. I have no idea how the liche priests in the region would work alongside him though....

What WHFB almost needs is a dedicated Necromancer's army book. In the new VC book, Necromancers got reduced to low level lackey status. Nagash and Heinrich Kemmler don't really fit in there anymore. They really don't operate like Tomb Kings either.
They're stranded in between.

That is something that I could get behind. Have an emphasis on the Ncromancers and Wights. Everyone must miss Krell as a character and maybe a better version of Dieter Helsnicht. Then we could have a return of Nagash and his Dark Lords like Arkhan

Damn.
I need a delete thought button in real life.
This forum must be broken, how is it possible that other people could post what they want in the OPs thread? Stupid people!
Anyways, what were we talking about? The return of Arkhan the black? Yeah that would be cool- unless the OP doesnt agree in which case how dare I post in the first place.
All in good fun. Just found it funny of the OP to post something like that on a...discussion forum

Nagash is in no position to come back. In the Skaven book (one of the most recent published), he is described as having finally reassembled himself after the Skaven curb-stomped him, and he only has barely enough power to defend his castle.

Q: How many of a specific demographic group are required to carry out a simple task?
A: An arbitrary number. One to carry out the task in question, and the remainder to act in a manner stereotypical of the group.
