Actually, here in Sweden (next to Norway if you didn't know) the Swedish police has
Intelligence agencies, rapid response anti-terrorist teams, K9 teams, Bomb squads etc.
The only thing Scandinavian Anti-Terrorist organisations are missing are the terrorists themselves.

As for the thing in Norway, it's probably like all 90% of the worlds ''terrorist attacks''.

Fail, get captured, them blame al-Qaida.

Really now? We have had two prominent donkey caves here in Norway accused for said thing before. And if the person I quoted actually bothered to read any Norwegian newspapers he/she would find more information on said subject. And now on to said case, Yes three people from a central Asian country has been arrested accused of planning a terrorist attack, Now the newspapers dont have much info to come with but, yes it seems like we have these gakholes also.

SO whats their supposed reasoning for attacking Norway? Last I saw norway wasn't a hotbed of oppression.

They were caught "In both Norway and Germany" and it looks like they may have been attempting to bomb locations other than the countries they were residents of. Also lol Uighurs and the six degrees of kevin bacon connection to Al-Queda.

@ Frazzeld Not sure, most likely because our involvement in Afghanistan and so on. And as Shuma said, they were arrested in both Norway and germany

Given the ease of transit within the EU it isn't clear that the target was Norwegian. It may simply be that they found Norwegian residency permits easier to acquire.

I had heard Norway wasn't particularly immigrant friendly, and I didn't think they were in the EU, either. I remember talking to some norweigian fellas in the pub and they mentioned some tensions about islamic immigrants.

In a real sense Al Quaeda is no longer a proper noun, its a verb regarding plotting or carrying out islamic militant bombing attacks in a western country or a country occupied by a western power.

Al Quaeda is not defined by any organisation or membership but by action. Anyone who starts to plot terror in the est in the name of Allah can claim membership of Al Quaeda, or as I now define they are 'Al Quaeda-ing' and this claim will be supported by the press and intelligence services alike.

Let's hope these terrorists weren't planning to fill their cars with dirt, or set their balls on fire. It's madness I tell you!

Yes, the government has been introducing a harder line on immigration( thank god for that) And yes it is some tension inded

This is the only reason i thank God for being born in Romania - they have nothing to blow up here!

As for the northern countries, they're the only European countries that i'm actually fond of - so, good for you guys!

Well, after reading the article (even though my I'm not that good at Norwegian) it seems that they have captured
3 men from Uzbekistan and China which have been in contact with al-Somali. From my point of view, that does
not make them terrorists. The police did not find any bombs or weapons, or any documents that could prove
these men were in Norway to blow something. For all that we know, they were maybe even tourists.

But maybe the article doesn't tell the whole story.
