Just got to good old FLW and wanted to know if their are any local Warhammer 40k players. I would like to play some pick up games. Its really a pain to drive to Springfield for just a fun game

Wish I could help, drove through that area just last week. Hope to settle near there someday, when I retire, but alas, don't know of anything in the area.

Hate to tell you, but there really isn't anything in that area. Heck, even less esoteric hobbies are a pain to find anywhere except on-base. Your best bet is, unfortunatley, driving down to Springfield/St. Louis/Columbia. All of those cities have great gaming populations, but the Rollah area is just kind of... dead.

Ouch, Fort Lost-in-the-woods. I went through MOS training there when I was in the Marines. Other than the one Strip club/night club complex there isn't much there. I think there was one a comic shop where I bought some 3.5 D&D books but that was a few years ago. That place however did have the cheapest cabs I had ever seen. You could go just about anywhere in town on about a $8 cab fare.

I just left there in April (now in Korea). Spent my last 2 years there as a medic with 14th MP BDE. There is a great place just out side the main gate. Gamers Hideout. It's in the plaza on the right where Post Pawn and that Mexican restaurant is, as you head out the main gate towards St Robert. There was a pretty good crew on most weekends when I left. Now if I can only find someone here in Korea to play with....

I was there last summer for the MPCCC. I think Matt's still around at Gamer's Hideout. Also, check out Paradox tattoo studio in Waynesville. The guy there's name is Victor and he is a fantastic artist who paints Warhammer sometimes.

Salted Diamond, I think I played you a couple of times when I was there. I had the Guard army.

@eledamris - You probably did play me. I was one of Brad's first customers when he opened the store and played just about every 40K player at some point. I was the guy with the Elysian Drop Troop Army, a normal IG, and Blood Angels (before the new codex).

You had the really nicely painted Guard with a terminator counts as Nork, right?

I leave this post open for anyone who happens to fall upon the situation in which I find myself. I am always up for a game more than ever now that I go 2 to 3 months before I can make it to one
