I didn't know that specifically, but he's been writing for GW since just about the dawn of time, so it's not surprising.

Graham McNeill co-authored the first Codex Tau. So BL people writing stuff for Codices is not unheard of. William King was gone from BL/GW for a while, but now he s back at BL again.

Graham McNeill was the other way around... He was a Games Dev who started writing for BL.

I wouldn't call William King a games developer

I wasn't saying he was. He was a writer, who wrote for GW, who wound up with some stories in a codex. As opposed to Graham, who was a Games Dev who wound up writing for the BL.

Gav Thorpe wrote the Dark Angels codex, among other things.

I enjoyed William King's first three Space Wolf books, but I couldn't handle any more of his writing after that.

He wrote the first 4 of the 6 in fact.

William King wrote THE Horus Heresy story...

...and it didn't take 10 books and counting to do a heck of a job!

As much as I do enjoy the HH series, it is starting to feel a bit "Robert Jordaned" out these days...

He's coming back to write some Tyrion and Teclis.

Robert Jordan's WHEEL OF TIME series should have been 3 or 4 books, max.

He dragged the whole thing out to 10 or so, and then died before finishing it.

He did dictate some notes to let someone know how it 'should' end.

Then, the writer hired to 'finish' the series?

Made the 'final' book not ONE, but THREE books!

So, that.

I got to like the 10th book of that series before i gave up.
I had trouble remembering why i should be bothered with what was going on.
