Well, he's finally finished. Pretty happy with how he came out too. When he was finished up all clean like, he still looked like he was missing something, so I shamelessly stole the wear and tear method from SONS of ORAR's awesome Smurf blog.

This is the primary colour scheme I've devised for my DIY chapter, the Gallowsmen, who specialize in funerals and executions. I've also thrown thought up a city camo and desert camo scheme, which I'll add whenever I get around to writing their fluff...

Anyway, this boy here is still just a prototype. I'm hoping to maybe make a few more. I'm kind of playing with the idea of making an army with one truescale marine per squad, with a bunch of tomb stones and gallows to act as wound markers. That way, I can kind of stick with the movie marines look, while making them actually playable, and not end up killing myself trying to make a massive army.

And for the record, the paint's still drying in these pics, so things look a little more messy then they should. He looks fantastic up close in real life.

And I know I should drill the barrels. But I don't have a modelling drill. And I'm not going to buy one just for one marine. Maybe somewhere down the line.

Awesome stuff!

Anything True Scale gets my attention, and yours is very good indeed!

Now, a whole army, right?

Love those colours. Looks exactly the way I would like steam punk marines to look (sorry if this was not your intent, but it looks great, a bit corroded and metallic).
Whats that about fixing marines up in Camo? you think they are imperial guard that have to hide from the enemy?!

Again, I really like the colours, and that white-ish helm as a final touch is genius.

Edit: Hey, he kind of resembles the official tombkings colours, making them very graveyardy, in a way
