So back in November Black Library started putting ebooks on the UK Kindle store with the promise that the same would be coming to the US in January.

It is now April and no BL books are on the US Kindle store and there's been no mention of it from GW.

Has anyone heard anything?

EDIT: Here's the Community site post - https://www.warhammer-community.com/2016/11/30/black-library-now-on-kindle/

They were on Amazon US for a week then disapeared. Now all you can find are a few Dan Abnet books and that ComicBook Series, not that there was much available during that week either.

Dare I dream...are Legion Recon Marines going to make an appearance in 40k proper, for Chaos/Loyalists?!

Well one thing i DO know about this book is that ARKOS THE FAITHLESS is the Poster Boy
Which begs the question, this book must either...
A. Take place BEFORE the Siege of Vraks
B. Arkos Somehow Escaped The Rock
C. Arkos Getting Catured in the Siege of Vraks wasnt actually him, because its the Alpha Legion

But i Swear to God, if the Alpha Legion get Over AGAIN (we've had it Rough in the Horus Heresy book Series) im not gonna be Happy

That also looks like Exodus next to Arkos...

strange...
there is an advert in the new White Dwarf mag about the books being available on the US Kindle store...
it says that you can link direct from the BL site to the Amazon store, or search "Warhammer" or "Black Library"...
the little interview says that "Gates of Azyr" is up there for free download...
maybe it is taking a little longer than expected to get things up and running...

cheers

I email BL customer service right after I posted here and got a response today:

Thanks for contacting us. We were planning on making the majority of our ebooks available on the US and Canadian Amazon sites by the end of January or the beginning of February but we have since come across a few important legal and tax issues that need to be straightened out first sadly. While we don't have a reliable time frame for when this work will be completed, we are hoping that within the next couple of months this will all be sorted out. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I gotta say, I was 100% expecting to get 'you can still buy them on the BL store!' and nothing else of value. I am very pleased with the candid response.

BLs prices might be not so popular but customer service is always superb and I suppose that's a big chunk of what you pay for. Email responses are truthful and the responder has spent time finding out the answer.

Same here!

Now if BL could only figure out how to not continually f' them up, that would be nice too.

Finished Magnus the Red: Master of Prospero. Very good read. It was nice to learn the name of Forrix Mr McNeill made a small mistake - I think that Mark IV armour in 55th year of crusade is a bit too early.

I would be inclined to agree, although such things are now often decided by committee within the HH fluff team, so I suspect that is now the official date.

Man I loved the sanctuary 101 story. Proper space nuns. Remote planets with monasteries are super creepy settings for an alien wipe out attack. Like a mix of old west settlements and monestaries in outremer waiting on the cavalry/crusaders

I don't know, I really enjoyed the end of Praetorian of Dorn.

It looks like it. They are really lovely books. Hope they stick to it. They will look great on a shelf together.

Damn had to edit that twice due to baby feeding/screaming and typing combo! Not good

That is what I am hoping, I'd be quite keen on collecting them if they keep the standard up. Has there been no formal announcement?

No announcement I'm sure they are like looking to see what the reaction is to them. I haven't seen anything negative mentioned so far. I think they are a little more grownup looking! Makes your bookshelf look like I've got a library card at the BL itself which is awesome. Adds to the flavour of the experience of reading 40k if the book looks like it came from a gothic universe!

The Skeleton Key

A Blood Bowl story

There's a lot riding on the Dungeonbowl: it's being touted as a clash between good and evil. But disaffected greenskins and a grumpy mummy might throw a spanner in the works…

READ IT BECAUSE
It's packed with your recommended daily intake of anarchic Blood Bowl mayhem, but with a distinctly horror-themed flavour (dungeons and mummies – totally counts).

THE STORY
The mummy Ramtut, star player of the Champions of Death, already disgusted by what he perceives as the sad decline of the game since his days among the living, is further dismayed by the atmosphere surrounding the Dungeonbowl. Against all expectations, the sickeningly moral Bright Crusaders have reached this championship, and the overwhelmingly human audience is cheering a match promoted as a mythical clash between Good and Evil. But unknown to either team, a group of disaffected greenskin supporters have plans of their own for the outcome of the game.

Written by David Annandale.

Nah, they got a sequel and made the Necrons the punching bag.
