Hi all, sorry if this is the wrong spot for the thread.

I am currently building a marine Biker army, and am struggling to find a theme.

I was looking through my ole storage container filled with minis, and stumbled across my old skaven stuff, and immediately a thought popped into my head with all the force of nostalgia - The Biker Mice from Mars.

I am thinking Marines with Skaven heads, with the occasional tail and rat arm, leg, possibly converting the Captains bike to look more like the ones from the cartoon.

I was wondering what peoples reaction to the idea would be, I will try and whip up a test model and see if I like the result, though I can't promise I'll have pics any time soon.

Not making a poll as any options I come up with will be skewed/insufficient anyway.

I think rat heads on Marine bodies would look really hamfisted. If you were able to full-on convert Skaven to ride motorcycles, then I'd say you were onto something for a solid counts-as Ork Kult of Speed army. Generally though, putting animal heads on Marine bodies looks lousy though.

Yeah, I haven't actually done a comparison to see how the scale/positioning will look, and I will prob have to do something about the shoulder pads as well for marine torsos.

Obviously these are things I will look into before I make a whole force, but I will see how I go with a protoype

Actually, there's an idea. Forget Skaven-modeled SM bikers - how about Biker modeled Skaven?

Now, I dont play WHFB, but there's surely a rule for cavalry in there somewhere, and Skaven have a pretty sweet techpunk vibe happening.

Right, I'm off to ebay. Find me some plastic skaven and Ork warbikes

From memory the skaven legs really wont offer much to convert, although I believe there are new models since I used to play them, perhaps some empire cavalry legs would work well with some greenstuffing too...looks like i'm going to be busy sorting through bits tonight

Also MT, if you steal my biker mice I will have to do bad things to you when next we meet

No, no, don't worry, I won't.

...

How about Street Sharks Ork Boyz? We could have a nostalgia battle. First to 5 kill points wins the primetime broadcast slot

If you go through with this, I think that every member of the opposite sex should instantly want to have your children.

Ah, childhood. How I long for the days of Skeleton Warriors, He-Man and DBZ. *sigh*

Also, how's about's a Toxic Avenger Nurgle character?
I'm pretty sure they made him into a kids cartoon.

And here it is. God I love it.

You know that this is gonna turn into a cartoon nostalgia thread.

I mean, I've never even SEEN either of these. But SERIOUSLY. Ninja robots, Extreme dinosaurs. This $#!7 was EXTREME.
