I do not Know all the details but this game was the best I ever played.

This happened the day the battle Missions book just came out.

Me and the Nid player rolled to see what IG Vs Nid game setting to play.

We played the Last ditch defense of a Planetary defense force holding out against the nids.

It was about a 2000pt game many 2500.

Set up was all my men deployed in a small 2 by 2 foot space. and the Nids had the rest of the board.

My army was:
HQ, Company command squad, Vox, Banner, Powerfist, BP, Sniper, and Medic. + Lord Commissar ( His name is Lord Fluffy)
Elites, Stormtroopers 10 man squad, plasma gun and Grenade launcher.
Troops, 3 platoons. all commands had, Vox, Banners, Medics, a 5pt special Wep, and eather a power sword or power fist. Platoon 1 was, three 60pt Inf squad (vox 5pt and Gn/Sniper/flamer 5pt). Platoon 2 was two 60pt inf squads and a heavy wep squad. platoon three was the same as platoon 2.
Fast Attack, Valkyrie gunship with bolter sponsons and las cannon. (the storms road in this)
Heavy Support, 2 Leman Russ battle tanks with sponsons and las cannons. 2 Basilisk guns. and a punisher tank.


The Nids had:
Hq: a Hive tyrant with 2 bone swords (maby) with 2 tyrant gaurd
Elites: a few hive gaurd
Troops: 30ish Tyranid Hormagaunts, a Tyranid Broodlord and like 20 Tyranid Genestealers, and 10ish warriors With bone swords.
Fast attack: None
Heavy Support: 2 trygons 2 Tyranid Carnifexes.

Now be kind as i do not know all details about the nid's army.
Deployment looked something like this.

( only thing thats not their are the 2 Carnifexes but they are next to the trygon above my troops)

the Nids had first turn, but all that happend was he moved alittle closer killed a few of my men in a assault and i killed a few guys shooting.

the next turn he assaulted from the north killing the 2 squads i had there. I shot and killed a fex with a drerect impact from my tanks. also his broods moved and ran to assult next turn. the warrors moved up.

Next i shot my hw at the warriors and slowed them down, but only one went down. his broods attackted and i put as many men as i cound to hold the live in assault. the fex that was left and the northern trygon burst past my line and killed the punisher before it could shoot. my Valk flew and dropped the storms next to the 2nd Trygon. They shot evry gun they had, Plasma gun, Crack grenade launcher, hot shot lasgun. only 3-4 shots went wide. The trygon Cryed in pain but still had 1 wound left. But my Storm SGT Shot his Hot shot Pistol, both shots caused wounds and both saves were failed. trygon down -1 wounds.

3rd to final turn evry man i could muster was fighting. lord fluffy and the guardsmen held the line to the last man. Fluffy's 10 Ld save fell over every member of the guard around . the warriors were not taking wounds and their bone-swords were mass murdering my guard squads before them. in a last ditch effort i tossed my HW teems into close combat, to get in they had to jump off a 3 story building. one guardsman wielding a lascannon as a club bashed a warrior's face in as he fell. HW kill in CC? Heck ya. He died seconds laytor.

2nd to last fluffy and the last 10 guardsmen were killed in assault. the Warriors charged at a basilisk destroying it and began to charge the command squad. The commander called in help and the storms mounted up. Fluffy fell to a mass of claws fighting to his last breath, but not before removing the head from the broodlord. the Nids took a steep over fluffy's body. when they looked up all they saw was 2 leman russ' and a basilisk opening fire with all guns. 2 las cannons 2 battle-cannons 1 earth shaker and 4 heavy bolters. Not one monster was left. the storm's valkery flew in and all 10 men disembarked but they could not yet shoot the final targets, the warrors and hive tyrant, beacuse they were out of range.

Final turn NID: The bone sword wielders crushed the 2nd basilisk and charged towards the command squad.
IG final turn: The two Remaining Russ' the Valkery and the storm troopers all opened fire on the warriors. Not one survived, and the hive tyrant was unmoving.

Surely The Emperor was Watching.
